Dolichopteroidea is an extinct superfamily of eurypterids. The group contains three families: Dolichopteridae, Erieopteridae, and Strobilopteridae.[1]
Under previous classification schemes, the dolichopteroids were sometimes classified as part of the Eurypteroidea superfamily.[2]
