Jamiyka Jones is a British actor, dancer, and performer based in Peterborough, England. He is known for his work in independent horror and television, most notably for his role as the titular antagonist in the 2026 creature feature The Snow Demon.
Early life and training
Jones was born in Kettering, United Kingdom, and raised in Peterborough. He was placed into foster care at the age of 5 and remained in foster care until the age of 17 which was when he had moved back to Peterborough after living in Kent for 12 years. He began his performing journey at the age of seven in local shows and plays in which he first gained his very first professional credit on the WestEnd Stage in Matilda The Musical in 2013-2014, initially gaining experience as a dancer. He trained in performing arts at MidKent College and attended the Pauline Quirke's Academy (PQA) in Rochester, where he performed in various stage productions. Going further with his training, he had attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts College, Los Angeles Campus for two years to study Vocal Performance.
Relationship Status
Jones' relationship status is currently confirmed that he is dating Ryan Young. Ryan Young is not in the public eye, however, Jones himself has confirmed this status as he is always active on instagram, sharing pictures and posts of them both on his main, Verified Instagram account tagging the user name, "ig_ry5x", on posts with them both together.
Career
Jones's early career included musical theatre performances in the West End, appearing in productions such as Matilda The Musical at the Cambridge Theatre and Shrek the Musical.
In television, Jones appeared in the long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders in 2016. In 2025, he appeared in the fifth season of the BBC comedy Man Like Mobeen. His feature film work includes a role as a student in Guy Ritchie's MobLand (2025), starring Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan, and a role in Cinderella's Curse.
In 2026, Jones played the lead creature role in The Snow Demon, a creature feature directed by Dominic Ellis and produced by Champdog Films. The role involved physical acting and the use of practical effects to portray a mythic predator in a wilderness setting. Jones is also involved in the project Shadowed as a co-producer/casting director.
