Because the image is a logo, the entire image is needed to properly convey the meaning intended, and to avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the image.

The copy is of sufficient resolution for commentary and identification but lower resolution than the original. Copies made from it will be of inferior quality, unsuitable as artwork on pirate versions or other uses that would compete with the commercial purpose of the original artwork.

For fair use on Bangkok International Film Festival:

• The image is placed at the top of article about the festival, to show the primary visual image associated with the festival.
• This image enhances the article in which it is displayed, as it provides an immediate relevance to the reader more capably than the textual description alone.
• Use of the image does not in any way harm the ability of the festival to carry out its works.
• Use for this purpose does not compete with the purposes of the original artwork.
• Use of the logo visually identifies the festival in a manner that mere prose cannot, and meets all criteria in WP:NFCC.

Not replaceable; logos are always presumed non-free per WP:LOGO.
