- ...that a group of Germans gave Edward VIII a Nazi salute as he retuned to Buckingham Palace from his only state opening of parliament?
- ...that a group of Germans gave Edward VIII a Nazi salute as he returned from his only state opening of parliament?

Policy compliance:
- Adequate sourcing:

- Neutral:

- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing:

- Other problems:

Hook eligibility:
- Cited:
- The "only" part is unsourced, but I found sources confirming this at at page 60, a Justine Picardie book (the quote is "A similar sense of alienation is apparent in the description in his memoir of delivering the King's Speech at his first - and only - state opening of Parliament, on 3 November 1936." and here (which you need to add to the article per WP:DYKHOOKCITE). The other part is fine though. - Interesting:

- Other problems:
- "retuned" should be fixed as "returned". To center the focus to the bolded link re WP:DYKMAJOR, "to Buckingham Palace" should be removed. I could propose other hooks, but the Nazi salute is interesting enough juxtaposed with the UK (especially given Europe's pre-WW2 geopolitical climate).

Overall:
Created three days before nom, prose size 5958 B. The Nazi salute is something, but this is a historical topic compared to a BLP subject. Here's my ALT0b (rewritten in line with DYKMAJOR):
- ALT0b: ... that while returning from his only state opening of parliament, Edward VIII passed by a group of Germans who gave the Nazi salute? Source: Same as ALT0 + the sources in the review's "Cited" section, which aren't in the article yet
@No Swan So Fine: address the issues and you're fine. ミラP@Miraclepine 18:06, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, I've added the Picardie cite, and your ALT0b looks great. No Swan So Fine (talk) 14:19, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Miraclepine: are we good to go with alt0b? theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 20:24, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
Yes. Apologies for not noticing; I don't watch the page. ミラP@Miraclepine 20:25, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
