Has name changed?

I'm the admin who rejected deleting the Central Rattanathibet redirect. The stated rational was that Central Rattanathibet is the correct name for the mall, but when I looked into this it appeared that Central NorthVille is still the correct name.

In order for there to be a name change and move, reliable sources will need to be shared showing that Central Rattanathibet is the current name. Also, consensus on this page will need to support this change and move.

BTW, in a sort of "it's a small world" vibe, I went to this mall on a regular basis a long time ago. I no longer live in Thailand but I have good memories of the mall. SouthernNights (talk) 17:50, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

@SouthernNights I appreciate that you took the time to investigate whether or not name changes would be appropriate.

I actually took the time to visit this very shopping mall today to take some photos for Wikimedia Commons commons:Category:Central Rattanathibet and to ask the staff there on whether Rattanathibet or Northville is the actual name. The answer I got was that Rattanathibet refers to the currently operational part (which is really small) and Northville refers to the under-construction building that's due to (re-)open in 2026.

As for reliable sources, I could only find these two

Sounds good to me. Let's give this discussion another day or so. If no one else objects, I'll delete the redirect and move the article to Central Rattanathibet. I also appreciate you clarifying all this. SouthernNights (talk) 20:53, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
