Reliability of Nashef’s 1998 exile claim
The statement “Since 1998 … Nashef was exiled from Palestine by Israeli authorities” is currently sourced to an Elaph.com article:
url=https://elaph.com/Web/Archive/1072718838460847600.html#google_vignette
However, Elaph is a general interest journalism portal not an academic or primary document and I’m not convinced it meets our reliable sources standard for a biographical fact like exile.
Questions for other editors: Is Elaph.com acceptable here, or should this be replaced with a contemporaneous press release, UN/OCHA report, or Birzeit University record? Does anyone have access to Arabic-press archives or NGO/academic, that explicitly document Nashef’s 1998 exile? Johnevans01 (talk) 21:13, 7 August 2025 (UTC)
