Judge John A. Sbarbaro: Notable Victims
So...because Judge John A. Sbarbaro who was "a prominent Chicago judge. His extensive law career included roles as Assistant State's Attorney, Municipal Court Judge, Criminal Court Judge, and Superior Court of Cook County Judge. At one point he also ran operations for the BAA Chicago Stags franchise." in addition to his ties with the Chicago underworld during the Capone era is not deemed worthy of mention on this article because he doesn't have a Wikipedia entry.RRskaReb talk 15:09, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
And the only source for their notability, is Find a Grave. WP:RS/P says 'The content on Find a Grave is user-generated,[13] and is therefore considered generally unreliable.'
It is also the consensus of the WikiProject for these articles that to be mentioned in an accident article that the person have a WP article.

The other exception is the cockpit crew.
Also, Sbarbaro is a local judge and official. Read WP:JUDGE and WP:NPOL. Most such people aren't WP notable....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 15:39, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
Mention of Allison Engine test center explosion
Perhaps a tad nitpicky, but as per https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-tipton-daily-tribune-allison-explosi/17850690/ the explosion mentioned in "A 1952 explosion at an Allison Engine test center in Indianapolis" did in fact occur in 1951. I am aware 1952 is the number mentioned in the article referenced regarding the crash, but it might be neat adding a note along the lines of "they recalled an explosion in 1952, though it had actually happened in 1951"? Not sure if this is truly necessary and I ain't enough on editing here to have any idea how it would be phrased correctly, so just a thought. ~2026-36476-80 (talk) 09:31, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Nice catch. I've fixed it and added a source. RecycledPixels (talk) 02:28, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
