Suzhou University (Anhui)Suzhou UniversitySuzhou University – The "Suzhou University" is the official name defined in bylaws, other uses are misnomers. This should not have name conflict. --~2026-31374-31 (talk) 10:12, 2 June 2026 (UTC) (edited 15:39, 2 June 2026 (UTC))  Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 23:26, 9 June 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. Maltazarian parley ∨ {\displaystyle \lor } {\displaystyle \lor }investigate 00:26, 17 June 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. Maltazarian parley ∨ {\displaystyle \lor } {\displaystyle \lor }investigate 08:42, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Additional info: The university is the registered owner of the trademark 'Suzhou University' under Class 41 (Education and Entertainment Services) in China. ~2026-31374-31 (talk) 12:55, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Oppose. If "Suzhou University" has a primary topic, it's probably Soochow University (Suzhou). "Soochow" is just an older transliteration of Suzhou, and the university in Jiangsu is much more famous than the university in Anhui. (The city of Suzhou in Jiangsu is also much more famous than the city of Suzhou in Anhui.)
I searched for "Suzhou University" on Google Scholar, and from the first page of results, three were for the university in Jiangsu, three were for the university in Anhui, three were for other universities, and one was hard to determine. Doesn't seem like there's a primary topic here. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 04:09, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
According to my observation, the Soochow University (Suzhou) widely used "Suzhou University" as its English translation in the last century, and began to adopt the current name around the beginning of this century, as shown in their official website recorded by the Internet Archive . If the final conclusion is that there is no primary topic, I suggest making "Suzhou University" a disambiguation page. ~2026-31374-31 (talk) 04:21, 8 June 2026 (UTC)
It already is. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:30, 11 June 2026 (UTC)
