Information icon Hello, I'm Example. An edit that you recently made was for a "talk page" that didn't have any existing article. Since talk pages are only meant to be used with an already existing article, I've marked the page for deletion. If you would like to create an article, I would recommend checking out the Article Wizard. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!

Template documentation

Usage

  • {{subst:Uw-orphantalk}}
  • {{subst:Uw-orphantalk|Article}} references a specific article
  • {{subst:Uw-orphantalk|Article|Additional text}} adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you"
  • {{subst:Uw-orphantalk||Additional text}} or {{subst:Uw-orphantalk|2=Additional text}} also adds text onto the end of the message instead of "Thank you", but doesn't link a page as specified by the article.

Please remember to substitute the template using {{subst:Uw-orphantalk}} rather than {{Uw-orphantalk}}.

To customize your message, parameters are available; one to add the article name, and one to add additional text at the end of the message. If your param value contains an equal sign (as urls often do), then be sure to explicitly specify the positional parameter by number; i.e., use |1= or |2= followed by the value; e.g., |1=XYZ=Repainting, or |2=https://www.bbc.com/search?q=Kent+weather.
