Professionally, I am an analytical chemist working for a not-for-profit organisation with broad bioscience interests. It is harder to see our own conflicts than those of others: if you think my job might be causing me bias, please challenge me. I am UK-based but speak good German, so I tend to do a fair bit of translation. Outside my profession, I have an interest in early music, but here I have no qualification, so if I edit badly, again, please challenge me.
