ᛞShadestar474ᛞ
Hey there, Wikipedia editor; I’m Shadestar474! I copyedit and sometimes revert vandalism. I have a wide range of interests, but you may see me on articles relating to LGBTQ topics, alternative fashion and their associated subcultures, rock music, botany, mythology, ancient history, physics, general relativity, books, all kinds of art from writing to drawing to weaving tapestries, and whatever other random topics catch my eye.
Feel free to give me any tips or advice you have!
I will say that, while I don’t necessarily have a conflict of interest regarding bands like My Chemical Romance, I may inadvertently add the occasional promotional-sounding material to a related article; if I do, you can inform me on my talk page.
I may be editing less now due to the very poor decision-making on the part of the Foundation recently; I’d like to support them as little as possible. In the spirit of that, I’m reducing how much wiki-maintenance-type-things (RCP, copyediting, et cetera) I do.

I hyperfixate on things way too intensely and have a bad habit of losing sleep to said hyperfixations. My current hyperfixation is pretty much all alternative rock from the 70s/80s to now, but particularly 2000s rock bands, My Chemical Romance specifically. I know probably more about them and their discography than a sane person should. I’m also very intrigued by all things physics, from Newtonian physics to general relativity and quantum physics. I’m slowly but surely working my way up to being able to understand all the math behind it; mostly the quantum physics, though, so I do have a lot of advanced mathematics work ahead of me if I want to be able to understand it. I think it’d be great to be able to somehow miraculously invent a theory of quantum gravity, but that most likely won’t be me who does it. Might as well try, though; you never know what can happen. You may notice I often sign off with ‘Cheers, Shadestar474,’ which is for no reason and is totally not a reference to anything. I am nonbinary and prefer they/them pronouns, but don’t mind he/him pronouns (but for the love of Siproita, don’t call me she/her). I think I’m reasonably educated in obscure identities, such as xenogenders, therianthropy and alterhumanity, and other sort of hyperspecific identities. I respect them a lot. I am currently severely hyperfixated on Norse mythology, the language of Old Norse, the Elder Futhark, and Old Norse culture, thanks to my favorite book series, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. From those books, I’ve also picked up a tendency to curse in Old Norse or use Norse gods’ names for curses in English. I use semicolons way too often; also hyphens at the end of sentences- Speaking of, I’m also an avid grammar nerd, so most of my non-vandalism-reverting edits to articles in mainspace tend to be fixing random typos or wrong uses of hyphens, en dashes, em dashes, commas, or semicolons. (justice for the colloquial death of the Oxford comma) I speak Scottish Gaelic pretty badly. My pronunciation’s pretty much perfect, but I have the vocabulary of a toddler; I don’t think I could keep up a conversation about much more than whatever I’m ordering at a restaurant or what the weather is (Duolingo at it again). I’ve also previously hyperfixated I N T E N S E L Y on Greek mythology/the Percy Jackson series, and my brain is very cluttered with very obscure Greco-Roman myths. Maybe that’s why I don’t have room in there for the vocabulary of a whole other language. do not talk to me about the Star Trek universe; i will rant for hours on end because TNG is my childhood and my favorite TV show ever and you will not be able to stop me |

Wikipedia Database reports
The Wikipedia Database reports are produced from the search queries of MediaWiki. These reports help users by providing them with utility reports, used by community members to improve the encyclopedia (e.g., Untagged stubs (configuration)) and statistical reports, which have past and present informational value (e.g., Page count by namespace (configuration)).
