No clear established notability; minimal secondary RS coverage. TurquoiseGoose (talk) 22:18, 8 June 2026 (UTC)

- Hesitant about AfD. The article may have a plausible claim to notability through the long broadcasting career, including BBC and regional broadcasting work, so a fuller WP:BLP search seems best before deletion.
- However, to OPs point, the article clearly needs WP:RS cleanup. Poorly sourced personal details, especially date of birth and family information, should be removed unless supported by strong reliable sources (in addition to independent secondary sources). If those sources cannot be found after cleanup, then AfD or redirect/merge (BBC Radio Manchester) may be appropriate. ABehjat (talk) 01:39, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
- We cannot argue that "There must be sources somewhere!" -The Gnome (talk) 09:44, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- Keep: A regular national broadcaster seen as notable enough for an article on Wikipedia as she has presented an England-wide radio show for the past four years and presents items for a well-known and established UK-wide programme.Rillington (talk) 15:02, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
- Circular argument: Subject merits an article in Wikipedia because she has an article in Wikipedia. Also, "I simply find her notable"! -The Gnome (talk) 09:44, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

- Delete since we evidently cannot scare up enough reliable, independent sources that could support our subject's notability. -The Gnome (talk) 09:44, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

- Leaning Keep based on research that supports WP:BASIC notability and can help further develop the article, e.g. Becky Want reveals she “can’t ever imagine retiring” as she marks two years fronting BBC’s The Late Show (Prolific North, Dec. 19, 2025) is mostly an interview, but commentary includes
The conversation also charted her impressive 40-year career, from starting out as a secretary at Signal Radio in Stoke-on-Trent before persuading them to let her on air and moving on to Manchester’s Piccadilly Radio during its heyday.
; ‘Give it a chance’: Seasoned broadcaster Becky Want on fronting BBC’s ‘all England’ radio show (Prolific North, Aug. 14, 2024) is also mostly an interview, but opens with context related to BBC changes, and includes early life, education, and career information; Becky Want and Jo Good to host new Local BBC Radio late show (Radio Today, July 26, 2023) includesBecky is well known in the Manchester area having worked on local radio since the 1980s. She first worked at Piccadilly and Key 103 before joining the BBC.
. I think these sources, combined with the feature already in the article, i.e. Becky Want: the BBC Radio Manchester radio presenter (Cheshire Life, Feb 20, 2025) seem sufficient. Beccaynr (talk) 04:00, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Keep per Beccaynr. Those are profiles, which count towards notability, not Q&As, which don't. Also: a mention in ; stalking case ; mention in ; report on her BBC Radio Manchester show ; ; her engagement and wedding . This is all sufficient to satisfy GNG. Fences&Windows 13:01, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- Weak keep based on what's available and as discussed above. I always prefer that articles found be added before closing an AfD discussion. Bearian (talk) 21:51, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
