Beyoncé (born 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. She rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead vocalist of Destiny's Child, one of the best-selling girl groups. She then embarked on a successful solo career, releasing eight chart-topping studio albums—from the R&B set Dangerously in Love (2003) to the Americana-rooted Cowboy Carter (2024). One of the best-selling artists, Beyoncé has nine US Billboard Hot 100 number-one songs, including "Crazy in Love", "Irreplaceable", "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", "Break My Soul", and "Texas Hold 'Em". Her accolades include a record 35 Grammy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award. A significant cultural figure, she was named by Billboard as the greatest pop star of the 21st century and by Rolling Stone as the eighth-greatest singer ever. She owns the nonprofit BeyGood, the hair care brand Cécred, the whiskey SirDavis, and Parkwood Entertainment. (Full article...)

  • Reasons for nomination: She released her sixth album Lemonade, her most culturally impactful and discourse-igniting work, on April 23, 2016, so this will be its 10th anniversary. IMO this is a very suitable date. This article has also never been TFA; and biographies about major living figures are somewhat uncommon on this site.

  • Coordiantor comment: @750h+: This blurb has a lot of MOS:SEAOFBLUE. Some words like hair care and whiskey can probably be de-wikilinked. Other links might incorportate less word in the link or rearrange the sentence structure so the links are not together. Could you take another copyedit pass to reduce the amount of blue text? • @Z1720: i've made sure links aren't next to each other + delinked things that don't need to be linked. 750h+ 02:54, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
  • Support, but I would probably delink Billboard. Other than that, the article looks fine. I like octopusestalk to me, talk to me 17:07, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
