Adebola Akinola is a Nigerian gospel music artist, songwriter, and choir director based in Doncaster, United Kingdom.

Background

Akinola grew up in Nigeria, where she trained in Library and Information Science at Kwara State University and later at Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education. She began leading worship and directing choirs in churches across Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom.

Music career

Her debut single "Wonderful God", released in 2022, was made available initially on Boomplay and later re-released globally on platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.[1] Speaking about the song, Akinola said: "My passion is leading people into God's presence through music. With Wonderful God, I wanted to create an atmosphere of pure devotion."

In 2023, she released the album Sovereignty and performed the single "Jesu ye" with the RCCG Word is Life Choir. That same year she received the Award of Excellence at the RCCG Kwara Province 1 Music Competition, where she was named Overall Best Winner and Best Vocalist.[2]

In 2026, she received the Eko Heritage Award and released a new single, "Holy".[3]
