Comment: We need to see sources about him, not just sources that happen to passingly mention his name. An actor isn't automatically entitled to have a Wikipedia article just because he's had acting roles, so the inclusion test isn't passed just by sourcing the article to cast lists and directory entries that passingly mention his name -- an actor requires some evidence that he's been the subject of WP:GNG-worthy coverage in reliable sources. A source needs to be about him, not just have his name in it somewhere, to be support for notability. Brent Thiessen is a Canadian-born stage actor.[1] He is a member of the original Broadway cast of the 2026 musical, Beaches[2], in which he portrays the role of John Perry.[3]
Early life and education
Brent studied Musical Theatre - Performance at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.[1]
Personal Life
He is married to actor, choreographer, and director, Jennifer Thiessen.[1]
Career
Before moving to New York in 2019, Thiessen built an extensive career across Canada, including playing Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast[4], Trevor Graydon in the Canadian premiere of Thoroughly Modern Millie[5], Doctor Craven in The Secret Garden[6], and Buddy in Elf.[7] [1]
In 2026 it was announced that Thiessen would join the cast of the Broadway production of Beaches at the Majestic Theatre, playing John Perry opposite Jessica Vosk's Cee Cee Bloom, reprising his role from the 2024 international premiere.[8][9]
