Horatio Edward Beresford Gould[1] is an English comedian, comedy writer, director[2], and podcaster. He is notable for his stand up comedy specials[3][4] and podcasts including 'Fin vs. History[5]' with frequent collaborator Fin Taylor and 'Boys Gone Wild'. He has written for the popular online interview show 'Fin vs. the Internet', as well as appearing as 'Graham G[6]' in the BBC sitcom Here We Go.
Early life and education
Born to a middle class mother and working class father, Gould has made frequent jokes about his 'psoh' name. He attended Hurstpierpoint College and then read ilm studies at the University of Warwick, where he performed stand-up for the first time as part of the university comedy society. He was the winner of the regional Warwick heats of the 2018 Chortle Student Comedy Award[7]. While at Warwick, Gould was also a member of student film group 'Yahtzee and McGee Audiovisual Farming Collective[8]'.
Comedy Career
Gould first received prominence through online comedy sketches during the coronavirus pandemic, receiving over 70 million views[9][10]. He was the tour support for Frankie Boyle's 'Lap of Shame' tour[11].
From beginning stand-up in 2015, Gould has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe every year, where in 2023 he performed his special 'Sweet Prince'[12][13], which was met with critical acclaim[14][15] and was followed by a 20 date UK tour[16]. While at the Fringe, he discussed the difficulties of publicity during the Edinburgh Festival, seeing it as an experience he wishes to graduate from[17].
Gould's next special was his 2024 show 'Return of the Space Cowboy[18]' (or merely 'Space Cowboy[19]' ) where he discussed topics including masculinity and millennial culture from an outsider perspective[20]. 'Return of the Space Cowboy' was similarly well received.[21]
Directing Work
Gould has directed multiple stand up specials, including Seann Walsh's specials 'Kiss[22]' and 'Seann Walsh: Is Dead, Happy Now?[23]', and the Mike Rice special 'Irish Disgrace'.
Acting and Television
Gould appeared in the BBC Sitcom 'Here We Go' as 'Graham G', as well as an appearance on Series 6, episode 3 of 'Frankie Boyle's New World Order[24]'.
Podcasts
Gould has appeared as a co-host on the popular amateur history/ comedy podcast 'Fin vs. History' since 2025. He has also been a writer for 'Fin vs the Internet' since it's origin in 2022, and makes frequent appearances on the show alongside Fin Taylor, Vittorio Angelone, and celebrity guests such as Chris Williamson and Alex O'Connor. Both shows are commercially successful, with 'Fin vs History having charted at number 1[25], and, as of May 2026, is at number 14 in the Spotify rankings[26]. This has involved a popular live tour of the show, which sold out across many venues[27].
Personal life
In a 2026 filming of his show 'Space Cowboy', Gould revealed that he had a girlfriend named 'Bibi', who shared a nickname with Benjamin Netanyahu. He lives in London.
