Comment: The author of the source that would contribute most to notability, reference 4 (the University of Houston book), has a WP:COI with the organization as he states in the acknowledgments section, While I am not a member of the Houston Sängerbund, I have enjoyed a relationship, both personal and professional, with the organization for nearly a quarter of a century.

The Houston Saengerbund is a German-American Musical and Cultural Society located in the Heights in Houston, Texas. It is organized as a non-profit organization and is the oldest musical society in Houston, Texas.
History
The Houston Saengerbund or Houston Singer Union was officially founded on October 6, 1883, in Houston, Texas but traces its roots back to 1847 when settlers started a German Quartet Society. Thanks to the large influx of German-Texan immigrants The Houston Saengerbund enjoyed explosive growth adding several hundred members, and had its own men's choir (maennerchor) and orchestra plus frequent dances and concerts. The outbreak of war in 1917 ushered in a gradual decline as schools no longer were permitted to teach in German and immigration slowed.[1] The Saengerbund moved to Milby St. but then changed to an address on Feagan st.in the 1920s.[2] The Damenchor (women choir) was officially setup in 1933. The outbreak of World War II led to a further decline of interest in German American culture. In 2004 The Houston Saengerbund sold its Feagan st. property and after an interim period found its new permanent home in the Heights Boulevard.[3][4][5][6][7][8] The Houston Saengerbund is today organized as a 501(3)(c) non-profit corporation. The Federal German Mission in Houston recognizes the Saengerbund as a German cultural society.[9]
