Iris Lammertsma is a Dutch film producer.

biography
Iris Lammertsma (1968) studied dance at the Codarts University of the Arts. In 1991 she founded the dance production house De Kazerne.[1] Over the years she shifted her activities from choreography to directing and focused on developing site-specific theatre. Lammertsma was artistic director of De Kazerne for twenty years and responsible for various theatre, site-specific and dance projects. In addition, she served as business manager. Under her leadership, more than sixty (inter)national performances and projects were realized.[2]
Witfilm
Since 2011, Lammertsma, together with Boudewijn Koole, has been the owner and producer of Witfilm. Additionally, she is the chair of the NAPA (Dutch Audiovisual Producers Alliance). Within Witfilm, she is active as a producer of fiction and documentary projects in the Netherlands and abroad. The productions are characterized by a focus on artistic quality and social themes.[2] In an interview, Lammertsma explains that she has found a new challenge with the recent addition of fiction: “I had been active as a producer for some time and was ready for the challenge of scaling up.[3]
Witfilm's productions include the documentaries Shadow Game, Dance or Die, The Promise, De Keuze van Mijn Vader, Zaatari Djinn, Transit Havana, Breng de Joden Thuis, Inside the Chinese Closet, Battles, and Happily Ever After, as well as youth documentaries such as Liefjes en Nieuw and the dance films Off Ground and Van Binnen Stroomt Het.[4]
