Jason Thanh Nguyen (born May 9, 2004), professionally known as JasonTheWeen, is a Vietnamese-American online streamer from Arlington, Texas. He is a current member of the reboot FaZe Clan.
Early Life
Jason Thanh Nguyen was born on May 9, 2004 in Fort Worth, Texas, and is an only child.
Jason attended Arlington Collegiate High School, where he graduated from in 2022. He then attended the University of Texas at Arlington, before dropping out in August 2024.[1]
Career
Jason started streaming on Twitch in 2018, when he was only 14 years old, however mostly inactive as he only streamed twice throughout the year. In 2021, Jason established himself as "Nguyenmoneysniper" on TikTok where he would start to make a name for himself.[2] However, this account was banned, unbanned, then re-banned, resulting in Jason creating his two new accounts, jason.nms, and jasontheween.
Jason resumed streaming in August 2022, using his established account to lead viewers to his streams, after live streaming his stream on his TikTok lives, then ending so people would come and watch him on Twitch. Jason would mostly stream games such as VALORANT. He would stream daily and average around 100 viewers. He gained popularity in the scene when he streamer with streamer PROD. He would ask him to 1v1 in VALORANT, which PROD then agreed to since he would recognise Jason from his famous clips. In September 2022, Jason would begin to average 3,000 views each stream.[3] On April 30, 2024, he would be announced to have joined FaZe Clan, as a part of the reboot of the organisation.[4]
Jason created his YouTube channel on April 7, 2021.[5] He uploaded his first video on August 29, 2022. This video came from his Twitch stream where he explained his experience on the E-pal platform.[6] He created his vlog channel on April 24, 2024. He uploaded his first vlog on May 15, 2024.[7]
On February 18, 2023, Jason released his first official song on streaming platforms called Goodbye Yujin.[8] This song was made for Jason's ex-girlfriend Yujin, who broke up with Jason on February 28, 2024, on mutually good terms.[9][10]
On May 14, 2024, Jason released his first EP, "Love Bomb", with four songs, including "Dep Gai".[11]
On July 22, 2024, Jason uploaded a song with former FaZe Clan member PlaqueBoyMax called "Hold You Still". The song was created by them both using FL Studio, while simultaneously streaming on Twitch while creating it.
In September 2024, the FaZe Clan subathon was announced,[12] where Jason would later surpass 100,000 subscribers on Twitch,[13] becoming the second most subscribed to streamer at that time, and most subscribed Asian Twitch streamer on Twitch. At the time of hitting 100,000 subscribers, Jason would play the song ETA by popular group NewJeans, leading to a viral clip, which eventually lead to him meeting the group in November 2024 whilst in South Korea.[14][15]
In December 2024, Jason was nominated for one award at the 2024 Streamer Awards hosted by QTCinderella. He was nominated for Breakout Streamer of the Year, which he won.[16]
On January 10, 2025, Jason would host his first live performance at The Circle OC.[17] His performance included songs such as Obsessed,[18] Goodbye Yujin,[8] and Dep Gai.[19]
On March 12, 2025, it was announced that Jason would make an appearance as a contestant in Season 2 of the reality series created by the Sidemen called Inside on Netflix.[20]
On March 27, 2025, Jason appeared in a music video for the song "GBAD" by Jackson Wang and later appeared in a remix of the song.[21][22] On March 31, 2025, Jason would also appear in another music video with Pokimane for the song "What Are You Waiting For" by d4vd.[23]
On June 23, 2025, Jason released his second EP titled "J + S" with Kyedae's sister, Sakura Shymko. The extended play was released with 3 songs, "Prom", "J A K U R A", and "Favorite Flower".[24] He made all the songs during his live streams on Twitch.[25][26][27]
On July 10, 2025, Jason released his most popular song, titled "Summer Uptown" with d4vd, which they created on stream together.[28][29]
