Laiba Khan Lodhi (also known as Ayesha Khan Lodhi) is a Pakistani drifter, rally driver, model and entrepreneur. She has competed in rally racing and drifting events in Pakistan and the Middle East.

Lodhi made her rally debut at the 19th Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally in 2024, where she finished third in the Women Prepared category.[1][2] In March 2024, Social Diary Pakistan published a feature about her involvement in drifting, describing her as a "drifting queen".[3] In January 2026, Sunday and the Pakistan Observer reported that she won her category at the SAWT drift event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.[4][2]

Early life and background

Laiba grew up in Pakistan, where she developed a passion for cars and motorsport at an early age. Her interest in high-performance vehicles and competitive driving would eventually lead her from automotive content creation to professional drifting on the international stage.[5]

Modeling and media

Laiba entered the modeling industry in 2019 after receiving an offer through the Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC).[6] She received nominations at the International Pakistan Prestige Awards and Hum Style Awards in the rising talent category.[7]

Motorsport career

Rally racing

Lodhi made her rally debut in February 2024 at the 19th Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally, an off-road event of approximately 500 km of desert terrain near Derawar Fort. Driving a Nissan Patrol in the Women Prepared category under the registration name "Aysha Khan Lodhi" with co-driver Arghan Tahir where she finished third [1][2]

In May 2024, Lodhi competed in the Lahore Ravi Rally Cross, an event co-organized by the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP).[8]

Drifting

During 2024 and 2025, Laiba trained extensively at the Pro Drift Academy and The Drift Home in Dubai, developing her competitive drifting skills.[4] By March 2024, Social Diary Pakistan had published a feature on Laiba's drifting, describing her as a "drifting queen" who "rules the track" and embedding footage of her performing drifts on a circuit.[3]

Laiba's drifting career quickly expanded beyond the UAE, with competitions across Dubai, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. She independently funded her entire training and competition career.[2]

In January 2026, Lodhi competed at the SAWT drift event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a multi-discipline car-culture event run from 9 to 17 January 2026 by Black Box SMATR Event Management under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Sport.[9][10] Sunday and the Pakistan Observer reported that Lodhi won her category at the event and received an event shield and trophy, describing the win as a first for a Pakistani woman in drifting.[4][2] Following the event, she relocated from Dubai to Saudi Arabia.[2] In subsequent interviews she named the D1 Grand Prix in Japan as a long-term competitive goal.[2]

Entrepreneurship

Laiba khan Lodhi has described herself as the founder of Ajwa, a modest fashion brand.[11][12]

Personal life

Laiba competes in professional motorsport while wearing the hijab. In interviews, she has stated that the decision strengthened her confidence, and has expressed her goal of encouraging more women to pursue careers in motorsport.[2]
