Patrick Larsen is an American production designer and creative director. He is the founder of Studio Bound, a Singapore-based design studio, and was a named recipient of a 2012 News & Documentary Emmy Award for scenic design on the NBC News program Education Nation.[1][2]
Early life and education
Larsen is originally from Utah.[2] He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Utah State University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, San Diego.[2][3]
Career
Larsen began his career as a designer at Imagination and later worked as a design director at Jack Morton Worldwide, where his credits included broadcast environments for CTV's coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics.[2] The production design for the NBC News program Education Nation received a 2012 News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft (Lighting Direction & Scenic Design); Larsen was listed among the recipients as VP, Design Director.[1][4]
In 2015, Larsen founded Studio Bound, a Singapore-based design studio working in television broadcast design, live theatre, and theme parks.[4][2] His broadcast work has included set design for BBC Sport's coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and of the Wimbledon Championships (2017–2020).[5][4]
