Adedayo Ladega is a Nigerian politician who has served as chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Area in Lagos State since July 2025. He was elected in the July 2025 Lagos State local government election as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Political career

2025 local government election

Ladega contested the July 2025 Lagos State local government election as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and emerged as the winner of the Ikorodu chairmanship election with 38,946 votes.[1]

Chairmanship

In October 2025, Ladega launched a sanitation and environmental advocacy campaign in Ikorodu, including a clean-up exercise across several locations within the local government area.[2]

In November 2025, his administration marked its first 100 days with an empowerment programme distributing vocational tools and business equipment, and described the administration's priorities under a "SEED Agenda" (Security, Education, Enhanced Healthcare and Development).[3]

In December 2025, the local government held a retreat on 2026 fiscal-year budget focusing on planning and resource allocation.[4] That month Ladega presented a ₦5.4 billion 2026 budget proposal to the council's legislative arm.[5]

Education

In January 2026, Ladega received a master's degree in public administration from the University of Lagos.[6]
