Shekhar Tonite is an Indian Hindi-language talk show hosted by actor and comedian Shekhar Suman. It features interviews with public figures like politicians, actors, and other guests, as well as discussions on current affairs, politics, entertainment, sports, and public life.[1]

Premise and Format

The show marks Suman's return to the talk show genre after his earlier success with Movers & Shakers, which concluded in 2012. The first look and official trailer was released on 12 May, ahead of its premiere on 15 May 2026.[2]

Each episode of the show features Suman engaging in conversations with invited guests, along with observational humor and commentary on global and national events.[3] According to Suman, the new show is designed to focus on thoughtful conversations as an alternative to rapid fire and controversy driven discussions.[4]

Release and Reception

The show premiered on 15 May 2026 on Suman's official YouTube channel, and episodes are released weekly on Fridays.[5] Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari was the first guest on the show.[6]

The show received positive reviews on release by several viewers. However, media outlets like The Print called it a meme recap, noting the political commentary and satire done by Suman and the self praise and obsession, before celebrity guests arrive.[7]
