Comment: We need several references discussing this person in detail, and they need to be independent of the person. Of the three references, two cover the same information and give a short quote from Seferi, but do not discuss him. Possibly based on a press release. The third is based on information / direct quote from Seferi about the release of his book. Tacyarg (talk) 20:32, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Suad Seferi (Macedonian: Суад Сефери) is a North Macedonian artificial intelligence expert, author, and educator from Skopje. He is the founder and president of AINOW Society (also known as "ВИ Сега"), the first non-governmental organisation dedicated to artificial intelligence in North Macedonia.[1]
Prior to founding AINOW Society, Seferi worked as a cybersecurity analyst and head of the Informational Technologies Sector at the International Balkan University in Skopje.[2]
AINOW Society
In February 2025, Seferi founded AINOW Society ("ВИ Сега"), described by the Council of Europe as an organisation that "further contributes to raising public awareness and developing expertise on the responsible use of AI."[1] The organisation's stated mission is to promote responsible, inclusive, and innovative use of AI through education, research, and the advocacy of ethical standards.[1]
A 2025 Council of Europe report on artificial intelligence in North Macedonian media cited AINOW Society's publication Ethics and Bias in Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities for the Republic of North Macedonia and the Region as contributing to the national debate on ethical AI standards.[1] The report noted that the association "emphasise the key role that the media play in promoting fairness and transparency in AI usage by informing the public and encouraging critical reflection on its ethical dimensions."[1]
Career
Seferi has worked as an IT professional and educator for over two decades, with experience spanning cybersecurity and digital technology.[2] In 2024, he served as a trainer at a workshop on artificial intelligence in newsrooms organised by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) and the Association of Journalists of Macedonia, where participants explored how AI can be integrated into journalism while maintaining ethical standards.[3]
Seferi has been cited as an expert on AI and journalism by the Independent Union of Journalists and Media Workers of Macedonia (SSNM) in a 2025 analysis on artificial intelligence and the future of the journalism profession.[4]
In October 2025, the University of Novi Pazar in Serbia hosted a promotion of Seferi's book The AI Journey, followed by two workshops he led for students and faculty — one on artificial intelligence in finance and another exploring questions of authorship in the age of AI. The university described the event as bringing together students, professors, and researchers for interactive discussions on the role of AI in contemporary society.[5]
The Chamber of Commerce of North Macedonia selected Seferi as a seminar trainer for a one-day professional development event titled "The Power of Artificial Intelligence", held in August 2025 at the Chamber's premises in Skopje. The programme covered practical applications of AI in business, workplace productivity, cybersecurity, and ethical use — topics Seferi addressed across multiple sessions.[6]
During the 2025–2026 school year, Seferi gave a guest lecture on artificial intelligence and internet safety for students participating in the English Access Microscholarship Program at Gymnasium "Kočo Racin" in Veles. Participants also received copies of his book The AI Journey.[7]
In June 2026, Radio MOF reported on Seferi's participation as a speaker at "AI Literacy for Teachers", a free presentation held at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI) in Skopje, as part of the "AI Collective Skopje – Humans in AI Week" programme. Seferi spoke on the ethical use of AI in the classroom and the importance of teachers helping students develop critical thinking about technology.[8]
