Comment: Vague and superficial analysis such as CNA and The Straits Times have also covered The Reserve in relation to investor demand for physical precious metals and vault operations in Singapore
is characteristic of LLM usage; ideally this should be rewritten from scratch without the use of LLMs. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 06:12, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

The Reserve is a private precious-metals storage facility in Changi South, Singapore. It was developed by Silver Bullion, a Singapore-based precious metals dealer, and opened in July 2024.[1][2]
History
The building is located in Changi South, within the wider Changi Business Park area. Changi Business Park was launched by JTC Corporation in 1997 as its second business park after International Business Park in Jurong East.[3]
Silver Bullion acquired the building in 2020. By 2021, it was being converted from a former electronics warehouse into a precious-metals vault.[4][5] Silver Bullion had previously operated a smaller vault, The Safe House, since 2014.[6]
The Reserve opened in July 2024, coinciding with a reported increase in demand for physical bullion storage.[1]
The Facility
The Reserve occupies a six-storey former electronics warehouse in Changi South, approximately 180,000 square feet (17,000m²) in area and 32 metres tall.[2][7]
The facility has a designed storage capacity of 10,000 tonnes of silver and 500 tonnes of gold.[1] It includes vaults for gold, platinum and other high-value assets, as well as a dedicated silver vault.[6]
Architecture
The Reserve is an adaptive reuse project.[7] Architectural and interior design is credited to MonoLab Studio, with Freight Architects also listed in project credits.[8][9] The building's facade uses thinned onyx laminated between glass panels, and the original warehouse structure was adapted around a central vaulting chamber.[7][8]
Recognition
In 2025, The Reserve received a Design Award in the Industrial and Utility Buildings category at the SIA Design Awards, and an SG Mark Special Mention in Architecture at the Singapore Good Design Awards.[8][10] It also won the Commercial Spaces category at the 2025 Design Anthology Awards.[11] In 2026, it received a German Design Award in the Excellent Architecture, Architecture - Public category.[12]
