Youn Seo-jin (Korean: 윤서진; born August 11, 2008), is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2025 JGP Varese silver medallist, the 2022 JGP Gdansk bronze medallist, and the 2025 Asian Trophy champion.
Career
2022-23
Youn finished ninth at her lone Junior Grand Prix assignment, the 2022 JGP Courchevel.[1] Seventh in both segments, she finished seventh overall at the 2023 South Korean Championships.[2]
2023-24
Youn won the bronze medal at the South Korean JGP Qualifier to earn two Junior Grand Prix spots. She finished fifth at her first Junior Grand Prix assignment, the 2023 JGP Turkey.[3] First after the short program at the 2023 JGP Solidarity Cup, she fell to sixth in the free skate but won the bronze medal by 0.01 points ahead of Wang Yihan.[4] She finished in sixth place at the 2024 South Korean Championships.[5]
2024-25
Youn finished in eighth at her only Junior Grand Prix assignment, the 2024 JGP Ljubljana Cup.[6] She ended her season with an eleventh place finish at the 2025 South Korean Championships.[7]
2025-26
By winning the bronze medal at the South Korean JGP Qualifier, Youn earned two Junior Grand Prix assignments.[8] She was first in both competition segments to take the gold medal at the 2025 Asian Trophy, her first international win.[9] She was in third after the short program at the 2025 JGP Varese but had the top scoring free skate to win the silver medal, 1.80 points behind gold medallist Sumika Kanazawa.[10] Fourth in the short program, she fell to tenth in the free skate at the 2025 JGP Abu Dhabi but maintained a fourth place finish overall.[11] She was sixth at the 2026 South Korean Championships.[12]
