Heptapleurum venulosum[1] is a species of plant in the family Araliaceae.
Description

A large climbing shrub, leaves elliptic-lanceolate, cuneate, coriaceous main veins distinct. Umbels on racemes; peduncles long; pedicels of umbels 2 – 3 cm long, Flowers pentamerous, pedicellad, Petals greenish-white. Ovary 5-locular; styles short, free. Drupes subglobose, brownish-black. Flowering - February till March.[2][3]
Range
The native range of this species is Indian Subcontinent.[1] Bangladesh,[1][4] India,[1][4] Nepal,[1] China,[4] Malaysia,[4] and Myanmar.[4]. Within India distribution is in the states of Andhra Pradesh,[5] Karnataka,[5] Kerala,[5] Jharkhand,[5] Uttarakhand,[5] Himachal Pradesh,[5] Uttar Pradesh,[5] Punjab,[5] and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.[5]
Habitat
It is a scrambling tree and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.[1]
