Peter W. Wood

Peter Wyatt Wood (born 1953) is an American anthropologist and author.[1][2][3] He is president of the National Association of Scholars, having been appointed to that office in 2009. Wood was previously tenured as a professor of anthropology at Boston University, where he also served as Associate Provost and Chief of Staff to the President.[4]

As of 2022, Wood is a National Review columnist, commenting on higher education and other topics.[5] He is also a critic of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.[6][7]

Wood is a graduate of Haverford College, Rutgers University, and the University of Rochester, where he received a PhD in anthropology in 1987.[8]
