... that Caroline Jones wore 365 different charity clothes every day between 1 January and 31 December 2015 after her mother died of cancer in October 2014?
- Not ALT1: ... that in 2015, Caroline Jones originally projected to raise £1,000 that year but actually raised £43,500? Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-35091872 "She hoped to raise £1,000 in a year, but her daily posts became so popular she increased her fundraising target. So far she has raised more than £43,500."
- ALT2: ... that after her mother died, fundraiser Caroline Jones (pictured) wore different charity clothes, every day in 2015?

- Note That there is now a free image in this article and this can now be an image hook. Bremps... 01:29, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
I added Bremps. Main hook implies that she wore over 300 sets of clothes each and every day, and alt1 has no context. I've suggested alt2 which I think is the same intended meaning as the main hook. Anyway, good work, its the right length and the right age, its neutral, and it has good sources. I'm happy to tick this if you can decide on a good hook Victuallers (talk) 15:18, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Victuallers:, thank you for the review! I'm alright with al2, and I feel its even more interesting than the others. I'm not the best with how to phrase hooks and I didn't think that someone would interpret ALT0 to mean that 'she wore 365 clothes every day', and that this article was originally at Caroline Jones (window dresser) before changing the disambiguation tag to fundraiser as suggested on the article talk page. I didn't know she even had a picture on Commons, and ty for cropping it! JuniperChill (talk) 19:05, 21 February 2026 (UTC)
for ALT2. thanks! Victuallers (talk) 19:25, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

Window dresser?
@JuniperChill: Hi, I think that the disambiguator should be fundraiser, not window dresser and window dresser should be replaced in the lead and infobox as well. Several sources say that Jones started volunteering as a window dresser in around 2014, but we don't know how long that went on for. Also, according to the Telegraph, Jones works for a design agency. I have done some minor copy editing, but I don't want to move the page without asking. TSventon (talk) 02:02, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
P.S. According to the public view of her linkedin, Jones has been responsible for the CRUK window since May 2014, before her mother's death in October 2014, however that isn't independent or Wikipedia-reliable. TSventon (talk) 02:27, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi TSventon. To answer the first comment, I'll go ahead and change the title and update the prose. You could tell by looking at the page history when I published this to mainspace saying '
not sure if this is the best title however
' because I read WP:NCP#Disambiguating and spent mins trying to figure out. I now agree that fundraiser is the best disambiguation tag as that's what made her notable. - To answer the second comment, I didn't think she had a Linkedin account, because I don't have one (although I do have an Indeed account). I do think WP:TRUTH is the answer seeing as all independent sources say she started volunteering at CRUK soon after her mother died. JuniperChill (talk) 17:31, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
- @JuniperChill: thank you for moving the page, I did see your edit summary when you published the page, but I still wanted to double check as you might have thought of an even better option. I am not sure that all the published sources are consistent about when Jones started volunteering: in the 2015 Telegraph article Jones says "When she [Mary Benson] started chemo a year before she died, she said: 'Could you cover my shift?' Which was code, really, and it was a lovely gesture. So I started doing their window displays." That suggests that Jones started volunteering in 2013, but I think the current text is fine as it is not a particularly important detail.
- There is a another useful Telegraph article from 2016 at https://www.telegraph.co.uk/family/relationships/caroline-jones-how-my-style-blog-tribute-to-mum-went-viral/. TSventon (talk) 19:11, 9 February 2026 (UTC)
