Padampura, shristi khand, ahdyaya 16, slok 132/133 describes that girl found as "abhirakanya rupadhya sunasa charulochana, na devi na cha gandarvi basuri na chapannagi" which means " she was daughter of abhiras endowed with fine nose charming eyes and unmatched beauty ". Upon success of yagna she was gyatri. The abhiras who were unaware & anxious about what happened were told about gyatri divinity and boon was bestowed-"for the fulfillment of divine mission i shall take birth in your family when Nanda and others will take birth said by lord Vishnu to abhiras 2. Skanda puran, vaisnavakhanda, vasudevamahatmya, chapter16 where nandrai and Vrsabhanu is called Gopa/gowla, in garag sangita vrishjit khand nanad baba was called aheer in bhagavata puran, canto:1, cha: 14 nanad, sunand is mentioned as prime yaduvanshi, Bhagavata puran chanti:10, ch:5 vashudev ji and nanad baba were mentioned as cousin brother as they had same grand father 'king devamida' 3. Request to replace image in the Yadav article

I would like to request editors to reconsider the use of the image "Aheers, Hindoo, Soodra Class, Delhi" in the lead section of the Yadav article. The photograph is a colonial-era ethnographic image from The People of India (1868) and reflects the classifications and terminology used by British administrators of that period. While the image may have historical value, its prominent placement in the article can give undue weight to a single colonial representation of the community. Since the YADUVANSHI KSHTRIYA ( Yadav )community has a long and diverse historical, cultural, and social presence across different regions of India, a more representative image—such as one related to the community's contemporary identity, notable historical figures, cultural traditions, or broadly recognized heritage—may better serve readers. I am not questioning the authenticity of the image or its historical source. Rather, I suggest that editors consider whether another image would be more appropriate for the lead section in accordance with Wikipedia's policies on due weight and neutral presentation.
