Welcome and Passion
Welcome to my page! My main interest here on the wiki is contributing to and improving articles related to Military History, with a specific focus on the Armed Forces of the Netherlands and the French Army of 1940. I am committed to increasing the depth and quality of these subject areas.
My Contribution Methodology
My work is driven by the desire to provide accurate, well-researched history. My core commitment is to the principle of Verifiability, ensuring that every factual addition I make is supported by strong, reliable sources.
My primary contribution goals are:
- Unit History: Enhancing the articles of formations such as the 4th Nederlandse Divisie and French Army Corps.
- Equipment Data: Systematically updating articles on military equipment and weapons systems with verifiable specifications.
- Order of Battle (OOB) Excellence: Implementing a standardized, bilingual (EN/FR) and collapsible table structure for complex formations.

Project Update: Major Progress on OOB 1940 (December 2025)
Hello. I have updated the project status to reflect a significant milestone reached on 22 December 2025. The following articles have undergone a comprehensive structural and content overhaul:
1. French Army Corps Overhaul (Completed Mainspace Revisions)
I have completed a systematic "Gold-Standard" revision of the major corps within the First Army (France) and the Seventh Army (France). This includes:
- 1st Army Corps (France): Added detailed 1940 OOB and unified WWII sections.
- 4th Army Corps (France): Structural reorganization and addition of granular OOB data.
- 5th Army Corps (France): Expanded OOB including the Hainaut Fortified Sector (SFH), armor groups (519e GBC), and specific reserves.
- Cavalry Corps (France): Refined the OOB structure by consolidating the detailed organic composition data (originally added on 9 Dec 2025) into professional collapsible tables.
- 1st Army (France), 2nd Army (France), 3rd Army (France), 7th Army (France), 8th Army (France), and 9th Army (France): Integrated detailed army-level OOBs based on official SHAT records.
2. Key Features of the Revision
- Source Integration: All data is now meticulously cited using primary historical archives: Guerre 1939 - 1945. Les Grandes Unités Françaises (GUF), Volume 1, Service Historique de l'Armée de Terre (SHAT).
- Bilingual Accuracy: Implemented English unit designations followed by original French titles in italics (e.g., 605e Régiment de Pionniers) to prevent ambiguity and bot-flags.
- Technical Granularity: Inclusion of specialized support elements such as Artillery Parks, Messenger Pigeon Detachments, and Medical Supply Groups.
- Navigation: Added custom-adapted navboxes for the 1940 Strategic Command and Army Group hierarchies.
