Hi, I'm ojay123 and I'm an editor on Wikipedia. I enjoy reading Wikipedia, so therefore I got an editor's account last year, though I didn't start making many contributions until recently. If you have any questions or comments about my contributions and responses to talk page discussions, leave me a message on my talk page, or as it offers under "Toolbox" on the left column of every Wikipedia page, you can e-mail me as well.

In order to properly take on the responsibility of checking as many recent edits as possible, and seeing as I'm not an admin, I use a few tools like Lupin's Anti-vandal tool, Vandal Fighter, and Twinkle to carry about the monitoring of the constant edits. Here's a tip for anybody else interested in using these tools: they only work if you have the default (monobook) skin for all Wikipedia pages. For awhile I tried to use other skins available, but they just aren't compatible with the anti-vandal tools.

I recently acquired rollback rights, meaning that I can quickly revert single vandalism cases or long chains of vandalism. If I make a mistake with any of this, please let me know so that I can learn from my mistakes and become the best recent changes patrol member I can be.

On the other hand, I am a human being who makes mistakes every so often, and for those of you who have found any such mistakes, kindly leave a message on my talk page. For those of you who like to be Consensus Zombies, don't even bother trying to loudly criticize my occasional mistakes. I refuse to respond to anybody who is going to start to yell at me,and that includes over e-mail. I invite those who are inclined to do so to check out WP:TEA, it has some good ideas. I don't mean to be rude or anything, I'm just tired of seeing honest Wikipedians being blatantly attacked for a mistake, and I want it to stop :)

I know you were Huggling, and I'm not sure if Hugglers see all of their edits, but thanks anyways for reverting the vandalism on my user page! Brambleclawx 23:14, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism of the moment

Here's some humorous vandalism I've found:

  1. From Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (video game):

As Harry attends Potions class, you can mix ingredients to make potions by using your Wiimote or your analogue stick. Harry must also join the Potions Club, which is in the Herbology classroom.

As Harry attends Cheesecake class, you can mix ingredients to make cheesecakes by using your cheesemote or your analogue cheese. Harry must also join the cheesecakes Club, which is in the Herbology cheeseroom.

  1. From Sagging (fashion), and originally displayed on Tnxman307's user page:

Sagging is a manner of wearing pants or shorts below the waist, revealing some or all of their underwear.

Sagging is downright disrespectful, pick up your pants you young whippersnappers.

Today's motto...
If you build it, he will come.

Nominate one today!

I used to display the Photo of the Day (also available on the Main Page) in this spot, but the size and shape of the photo would often interfere with the user boxes to the right and the photos to the left. To view it, you can now go here.

Check out this essay on notability and inclusionism.

Est omnino difficile iudicare inclusionis meritum cuiusdam rei in encyclopædia cum ratio sciendi quid populi referat incerta sit, sed nihilominus aliquid encyclopædiam dedecet

It is generally difficult to judge the worthiness of a particular topic for inclusion in an encyclopedia considering that there is no certain way to know what interests people, but some topics nevertheless are not fit for an encyclopedia.

This motto reflects the desire of these Wikipedians to be reluctant, but not entirely unwilling, to remove articles from Wikipedia.
