Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Aaron Feis when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Hello A person of sorts. Regarding the recent revert you made to Nell Fisher: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. ✨ΩmegaMantis✨❦blather | ☞spy on me 02:50, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi. The Manual of Style/Biography states"The opening paragraph should usually have dates of birth and (when applicable) death. These dates (specific day–month–year) are important information about the subject, but if they are also mentioned in the body, the vital year range (in brackets after the person's full name) may be sufficient to provide context. The dates of birth and death are mentioned in the body and in the Infobox. Surely that is enough? Roundtheworld (talk) 19:29, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi!
- On this regard, I do think that provides a lot of context, but perhaps it's my personal view that it being in those parentheses at the start couldn't hurt. I think it could go either way, and infoboxes are great, but my view is that if there's someone looking super briefly at an article of DOB or DOD, it'll be right there for them. The rule here seems like it's saying you can have the date there, but it isn't required. Good rule, but I don't think it'd hurt just to have them there for viewing. Most articles do have the full dates in those parentheses. That being said, I am not an expert editor. If you're feeling like the article here, which you're contributing to most significantly, should just have the year, I won't try to revert or anything.
- Cheers,

Hello, I'm Sangdeboeuf. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Ana Foxxx, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
AVN performer profiles are often copied from other websites and cannot be treated as reliable; see WP:PORN#AVN. There is a strong presumption in favor of privacy regarding personal identifying information such as full names and dates of birth; such information must be published by the subject themselves or else widely published by reliable sources to be included. Thank you. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 22:51, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
