I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Jinoos Taghizadeh. Thanks! SomeoneDreaming (talk) 20:55, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
Hi,
Thank you for your comments. Regarding your question about sources, I would say that the following can be considered the main sources:
Black, Ian (2009-03-04). "Rock, Paper, Scissors and a hard place". The Guardian. ISSN 0261-3077. Retrieved 2026-05-20.
"Jinoos Taghizadeh, A Map of the Artist's Mind - Asymptote". www.asymptotejournal.com. Retrieved 2026-05-20.
Karimi, Pamela (2022). Alternative Iran: Contemporary Art and Critical Spatial Practice. Stanford University Press.
"چهره‌ها: ژینوس تقی‌زاده". www.radiozamaneh.com (in Persian). 2024-04-29. Retrieved 2026-05-20ttps://www.radiozamaneh.com/814336/
"گفت‌و‌گو با ژینوس تقی زاده، هنرمند چندرسانه ای: آزادی تنها اسم اعظمی است که می شناسم | رسانه خبری هفته". مجله خبری هفته (in Persian). Retrieved 2026-05-20
Regarding your second question, the artist Jinoos Taghizadeh fits well under the fourth criterion, as she is a well-known and established artist in Iran’s art scene with a distinctive artistic style. Her work has been exhibited both in Iran and internationally, including at venues such as Whitechapel Gallery, MAXXI Museum, Wiesbaden Kunsthalle, and Museum Ulm. She has also served on the editorial boards of prestigious art magazines in Iran and was a jury member for the Sixth Tehran National Sculpture Biennial in 2011. In addition, she has received growing international attention, including an interview with BBC Persian and a review of her exhibition in The Guardian. Alisyyh (talk) 06:04, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
Hi! Please take a look at Wikipedia:Source assessment/Jinoos Taghizadeh. Of those sources, I was only able to find one that conferred notability (the Guardian article) and one more that potentially conferred notability (the book page, which I don't currently have access to, so I can't tell if there's significant coverage or not). Looking at the table that I made, can you identify any other sources that would match all three criteria: independent, reliable, and significant coverage? SomeoneDreaming (talk) 20:54, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
Hi. I appreciate the chart you provided regarding the sources used in the article. I understand that the source below was assessed as not independent because it's an interview. However, I would like to point out that it is conducted by Poupeh Missaghi, a writer, scholar, translator (between English and Farsi), and assistant professor at the University of Denver, who is also a well-known critic of Iranian contemporary art. The quality and depth of her conversation with Jinoos Taghizadeh go beyond a simple interview format. Rather than presenting general biographical information, the discussion critically engages with the artist’s worldview and artistic approach. It has a clear analytical direction and purpose, rather than merely providing basic information for readers:
"Jinoos Taghizadeh, A Map of the Artist's Mind - Asymptote". www.asymptotejournal.com. Retrieved 2026-05-20.
In creating this page, I relied on a variety of available sources rather than depending heavily on only a few references. For example, I cited two books by Pamela Karimi, associate professor of the history of art and architecture at Cornell University, whose research focuses on female visual artists in contemporary Iran.
In her book, Woman, Art, Freedom (which I did not list among the major references in order to maintain a diversity of authors), Karimi dedicates several pages across different chapters to Taghizadeh’s work. She also includes a full statement by Taghizadeh discussing the position of Iranian artists in exile.
Additionally, the following two articles, although not entirely focused on Taghizadeh, are reliable and valuable sources for understanding the artistic and cultural context from which her work emerges:
1) Saremy, Nastaran. "Sculpture in Post-revolution Iran: A Fertile Ground for a New Art :A Rereading". Mohit Art.
2) interventionsjournal (2013-01-29). "WHO, BY WHOM, AND FOR WHOM: PRESENTATION OF CONTEMPORARY ART IN IRAN AND REPRESENTATIONS OF THE ART OF IRAN ELSEWHERE". Retrieved 2026-05-20. Alisyyh (talk) 22:35, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
Thank you. I updated the source table--I think between the Interventions Journal piece, the Guardian source, and the two books (assuming you're correct about the significant coverage in them), then I believe she does meet the general notability guideline. Thank you for your patience and for getting back to me.
If you are planning to continue contributing article drafts, I'd recommend actually taking a slightly different approach. Rather than seeking to include all of the available sources, I would focus on the most high quality ones, which meet the notability guidance at WP:42 (reliable, independent, significant coverage). This will help your drafts be assessed (and, hopefully, approved!) more quickly and easily, and also help to make sure we're meeting our policy around verifiability. Hello,
I was surprised to learn that the article I created on Jinoos Taghizadeh was moved to draftspace. I would appreciate clarification regarding the reasons for this decision.
For transparency, the article was created as part of the 2026 Rungh Wikipedia Scholarship initiative. Through this program, I am working with Rungh Magazine to help improve representation of BIPOC artists and activists on Wikipedia. As part of that work, I selected Jinoos Taghizadeh as a subject whom I believe meets Wikipedia's notability criteria.
If there are concerns regarding the article's sourcing, tone, copyright compliance, or any other policy issue, I would welcome the opportunity to revise the draft accordingly. Alisyyh (talk) 03:50, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Jinoos Taghizadeh moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Jinoos Taghizadeh. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it consists of machine-generated text and please also see WP:AIN#Template:Did you know nominations/Jinoos Taghizadeh.. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Fortek67 (talk) 15:33, 7 June 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your comment.
I was surprised to see the concern that the article may have been AI-generated. If you review the article's edit history, you will see that I have had discussions with other editors throughout the drafting process and have been actively developing the page over time.
This article was created as part of the 2026 Rungh Wikipedia Scholarship. I spent approximately three months researching and writing it. The article is based on multiple published sources, including books that are cited with specific page numbers, as well as other reliable references.
If there are specific concerns about the article's content, sourcing, style, or compliance with Wikipedia policies, I would appreciate the opportunity to address them. I would be grateful if you could explain the reasons for moving the page to draftspace and advise me on what changes may be needed for it to be restored. Alisyyh (talk) 03:45, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
As explained in the linked discussion, your work contains several meaningless sentences which are obviously written by AI. You need to clean them up before the article can be resubmitted. And no, you did not have or engage in any meaningful submission; I don't see you replying to anyone using edit summary in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Jinoos_Taghizadeh&action=history and you haven't used any talk space outside your own here. Hi. Thank you for your message.
If you look at the Talk page here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft_talk:Jinoos_Taghizadeh
you can see my discussion with an editor named SomeoneDreaming, who previously discussed the sources with me.
That said, I would be grateful if you could help me address the issues you mentioned regarding the wording of some sentences. I spent approximately three months researching and creating this page as part of my project for the Rungh Wikipedia Scholarship, and it is not AI generated.
Thank you for your time and assistance. Alisyyh (talk) 19:33, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
I am afraid I am too busy to be able to help much. I see you replied at AIN. Good. Read the feedback I and others wrote carefully, copyedit the article to remove LLM-like meaningless sentences, and resubmit your work for a review per WP:AFC instructions (and others you have gotten on this talk page, like the Teahouse links below). Draft declined
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Your draft submission to Articles for creation has been reviewed but not accepted at this time.
Feedback
The reviewer, Khagendrawiki, left the following feedback:
This draft appears to contain text generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You cannot use LLMs to generate article content.

LLM-generated pages with certain obvious signs of being machine generated may be deleted without notice.

These tools are prone to specific issues that violate our policies:

  • hallucinations: they often invent false information and cite non-existent references.
  • unencyclopedic tone: they tend to be vague, promotional, or essay-like, rather than neutral and factual.
  • copyright issues: they may closely paraphrase existing text, leading to copyright violations.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

See the advice page on large language models for more information.
LLM-generated article - WP:AIN#Template:Did you know nominations/Jinoos Taghizadeh, issue remains unsolved.
