Hi Anarawd ap Rhodri. Thank you for your work on Battle of Constantina (581). Another editor, MolecularPilot, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Set up really nicely and flows well. The frequent mentions of it across many pages of different publications seem to demonstrate a pass of WP:GNG. Thank you for making this article! :)

Disambiguation link notification for May 31
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Germanikeia Campaign (778), a link pointing to the disambiguation page Anatolian was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hey
Do you ever plan on doing Constantine V’s Abbasid/Umayyad & Bulgar campaigns? Arxyium (talk) 10:35, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- I do intend to make some more articles for Byzantine wars against the Umayyads and Abbasids after 779 campaign is mainspace ready; Heraclius' victory at Sis in 704 during the reign of Tiberius III & the Umayyad invasion of Asia Minor in 741 towards the end of Leo III's reign (their forgotten attempt to avenge the battle of Akroinon) are two that I would like to make. I also hope to make some more articles for Byzantine-Sasanian wars, though I've already done a few of these . Anarawd ap Rhodri (talk) 15:55, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
Links to draft articles
Please do not introduce links to draft articles in actual articles, as you did to Abbasid invasion of Asia Minor (779). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 21:07, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
Conclusion & appreciation
I just wanted to thank you for all the help & support on most of my recent articles, i might make a page on the siege of Amorium & Dorylaeum apart of the Abbasid invasion in 779 (maybe even more than just those) But you are welcome to assist me anytime on whatever article.
Also, i have some drafts i’ve been working on for awhile now that could require some assistance, one of them is the Draft:Siege of Ancyra (776–777) & Draft:Battle of Sebennytos (641) (the forgotten small Roman victory after babylon fell) & Draft:Sack of Dastagird the last two i never got to finish for months. Arxyium (talk) 08:01, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- There may not be enough information about the siege of Amorium and Dorylaeum to justify making separate articles on them, since sources are unfortunately very sparse in this period and few tactical details are recorded. Most of the information on them that I've been able to come across I included in the 779 invasion article, though if you have access to sources on them I'm not aware of feel free.
- There may be just enough to add to finish off the siege of Ancyra article though. Sack of Dastagird / Heraclius' campaign after the battle of Nineveh is also one that I'm eager to help with in the future since there's a relative abundance of information for that. Sebennytos I'm not too sure about but hopefully something can be done for that too. Anarawd ap Rhodri (talk) 15:35, 2 June 2026 (UTC)
- Feel free to assist with my new draft Rebellion of Thomas the slav
i also made planned possible future articles in my user.Arxyium (talk) 11:45, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
Umayyad invasions of Asia Minor (731-740)
Hello @Anarawd ap Rhodri
First of all, I want to thank you for contributing a lot to the Arab–Byzantine wars. However, your recent article on Umayyad invasions of Asia Minor (731-740) is different this time. Umayyad campaigns into Anatolia were launched annually, and it seems they were non-stop. Nothing is notable in your recent article; for example, why did you start with the date 731 while Umayyad campaigns were constantly launched before this date?
Compared to several articles like 782, 798, and 806, which are notable and massive independent campaigns. This one could've been merged with another article, or made into several independent articles, or turned into one page summarizing Umayyad-Byzantine conflicts. عبدالرحمن4132 (talk) 18:07, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hello @عبدالرحمن4132
- As I wrote an article for the Umayyad invasion of Asia Minor in 741 recently, I wanted to make a separate page dealing with the invasions beforehand leading up to 740. However, as there is a general lack of details surviving in the sources for these Campaigns, I decided to create a individual articles which could cover all of them in as much detail as the sources provide while not producing excessive amounts of articles. Since covering all of the invasions in between the siege of Constantinople and the battle of Akroinon would have been too much for one article, I decided to divide them into two articles dealing with separate decades, so that the information in each one could be written into a more concise article; Umayyad invasions of Asia Minor (731-740), which I have completed today, and Umayyad invasions of Asia Minor (720-730), which I would like to create in the future.
- Best regards, Anarawd ap Rhodri (talk) 21:36, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hello @Anarawd ap Rhodri
- In fact, merging your recent article and the future one would been great, as it will put them in one page. Wikipedia doesn't like unnecessary articles if there's no justification to make them seperate if the topic is more than that.
- Keep in mind Wikipedia doesn't mind longer pages. I know it's frustrating to work longer, but it's best to avoid certain conflicts in future.
- Best regards. عبدالرحمن4132 (talk) 03:10, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
- @عبدالرحمن4132 Alright I appreciate the feedback.
- Leave this article as it is for now, but I will expand and move it to a broader article covering Umayyad invasions of Asia Minor during the reign of Leo III in the near future, with more details on the events of 720-740. I think this is a more efficient way to keep it focused on a particular topic. 741 Invasion may have occurred simultaneously with or slightly after the death of Leo III, so he can be left as a standalone article.
- Thank you for the support. Anarawd ap Rhodri (talk) 16:07, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
Sack of Pliskia
I greatly appreciate your assistance with most of my articles i worked on lately, you are welcome to assist with my draft article of Constantine V's Bulgarian Campaigns or Draft:Rebellion of Thomas the slav which are ones i’ve been determined to make for awhile, i’ve already done most of the things like information or details. Arxyium (talk) 08:39, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
- Apologies for the late reply.
- I have a couple more articles of my own to complete, and then I will assist in the building of some of your draft articles (such as sack of Dastgird, Rebellion of Thomas the slav and Leontius' Caucasian Campaign when you start it) :) Anarawd ap Rhodri (talk) 18:15, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- No worries and thanks. Arxyium (talk) 18:28, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- i’ve took
- the time to solely work on Draft:Abbasid invasion of Asia Minor (780), however when it comes to
- the result i’m uncertain, i’m told it’s an Abbasid victory due to the fact that Harun was able to capture and hold the fortress (Semaluos) however when you look at the overall scale of the campaign considering the fact Michael Lachanodrakon defeated the second column of the army i assume it would make more sense for it to be a byzantine victory since they were able to break Abbasid momentum etc despite earlier successes, so i am wondering if you’d assume the same or not? Arxyium (talk) 21:16, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- Keep it as a Stalemate I'd say. Both sides attained success so that result seems reasonable. Anarawd ap Rhodri (talk) 22:24, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
