Monitor Latino
Hi, I would like to ask why you think that Monitor Latino's streaming charts are not a separate chart? According to this article, they take into account YouTube views and Spotify plays, and the chart on the left is only available in certain countries and has completely different and separate peaks, so it is a completely different chart than airplay. Furthermore, I do not understand the accusation that the use of both is ‘redundant’, as such charts are used, for example, in the case of Polish charts (Airplay and Streaming, since there's no combined chart - same with many countries from Monitor Latino. Additionaly, here you can see that it's stated by Billboard that ML publishes streaming charts. Szyign (talk) 11:32, 23 August 2025 (UTC)
- If Monitor Latino has streaming charts, they are not the ones cited on many Wikipedia articles as "Anglo Streaming." Using Argentina as an example, the chart on the left ranks songs based on radio audience impressions, while the chart on the right ranks songs based on plays/spins on radio. Given that no songs have gained even 150 plays this past week, it's clear that streams are not factored in to the second chart. The use of both charts is redundant because they are simply different ways to measure performance at the same listening format; Billboard has also published both audience and streaming-based charts, but only one is used for individual radio formats. Edit: I am not sure which Monitor Latino charts should be used for articles, however. The spins-based charts that are currently listed as streaming on most articles seem to have existed longer, but the impressions-based charts may be more accurate and have more defined chart positions rather than "ties" for some weeks.
