Eid Upper Secondary School notability tag
Hi CostalCal. Thank you for continuing to review my articles! I noticed you added a notability tag to Eid Upper Secondary School, under the company/organization notability guideline. I removed it because I do not think WP:ORG/WP:NCORP is the correct subject-specific guideline for this article. WP:ORG states that its scope covers organizations “with the exception of non-profit educational institutions”, and Eid vidaregåande skule is a public upper secondary school.
I agree that schools are not automatically notable simply by existing, but I think this article is better assessed under the general notability guideline and the available sourcing.
I read the guidelines for Wikiproject Schools, and it seems High/Upper secondary schools are usually seen as notable as long as they can be verified.

AI tags?
Good evening, I just wanted to check in as to why you added AI tags to my pages on Ambroise Gardeil and Martial d’Étampes. These are articles I wrote myself based directly on the French language primary sources and, in the latter case, the pioneering scholarship of Dominique Tronc. It has been difficult to find adequate English-language sources because they do not yet exist. The Gardeil article was previously deemed not to be AI-generated. As I have explained elsewhere, what I usually do is write up these articles in my spare time over the course of a week. Then, when I have time at the weekend, I upload a number of them in finished form. They are my own work, not that of a LLM. I am a theology grad student who has been working on specialized topics in the history of contemplative prayer. I want to help improve the presence of this neglected area on Wikipedia. Spelare108 (talk) 05:00, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi both, I am not an expert on AI but I am very familiar with texts written by non-native speakers of English and I can read French.
- I checked this text out and it contains a few slight calques from French ("formation" for "training", "the bibliography... is not entirely simple", "placing it among modern recoveries") and close repetitions of vocabulary (2 instances of "Capuchin nuns" appear unnecessary within three words of each other) and exceptionally slight errors like the phrase "It is a long exercise for imitating Jesus" and the incorrect use of the word "work" later in the same phrase. I find it unlikely that an AI would come up with all these features. It seems to me from Spelare108's comments on their talkpage and here that they are a high-level or native speaker of French who also has an excellent level of English, and so would be legitimately allowed to machine translate articles from French wikipedia sometimes. My only slight concern is the prevalence of rule of 3 in the text, but then sometimes there actually are 3 examples.
- I have marked the article as reviewed, but as I said, I am not an expert on AI and if CostalCal feels there may be unacceptable usage then you are within your rights to unreview it.Boynamedsue (talk) 05:31, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Hibo Aden Diriye
Thank you for your comment on the page Hibo Aden Diriye. I believe this person has notability for being included in the 2013 list of "People Who Have Contributed to Somaliland Over the Past 20 Years. Somaliland is a small country (or state), but I don’t think there are fewer than 100 notable figures from the past 20 years. If you search for “hibo” and “Samawada,” you'll see that they've been featured in Somali media numerous times. (Since Somali media often post videos on YouTube, I haven't included these references on the page.) Freetrashbox (talk) 05:58, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

Fashion in the UAE
Hi CostalCal. I hope you don’t mind but I’ve draftified Fashion in the UAE in preference to deleting it, as it has potential to be a much longer article, bearing in mind the different emirates, the role of street fashion, the fashion industry, the cultural issues etc etc. I won’t object in any subsequent deletion discussion if you still want it gone, though. I included “promotional” as a reason to draftify, but I was less convinced of that. The obvious problems were lack of sourcing and lack of content. --Northernhenge (talk) 17:52, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Northernhenge - The article is overly similar to Clothing in the United Arab Emirates. CostalCal (talk) 22:46, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks. I’ve moved it back to article space and proposed speedy deletion on that basis.--Northernhenge (talk) 23:22, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
Concern about reviews
Hi CostalCal. Are you checking articles for unattributed translations and other copyvio violations during your review process? JTtheOG (talk) 04:38, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I do, in fact, check for unattributed translations and copyvios. I must admit that I place higher priority on categories or footnotes. CostalCal (talk) 04:53, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
- I somewhat doubt that, given that I have found more than 20 cases of you ignoring copyright violations due to unattributed translations, while I've yet to find a single case of you performing WP:RIA in these situations. JTtheOG (talk) 06:18, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Requesting a review
Hello CostalCal. Thank you for reviewing my article Ritterfestspiele Bad Bentheim. I appreciated your suggestion to improve that article by connecting it to other Wiki articles. It is no longer an orphan article. I also felt encouraged to write an article on the Kaltenberger Ritterturnier, which is one of the oldest and moreover the world's biggest spectacle of that kind. This time I connected my article straight away to other Wiki articles. There has already been a review but afterwards I found additional material. The update is substantial. Would you please review the updated, extended article? I appreciate your help, thank you. - NordhornerII (talk)NordhornerII (talk) 15:05, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Draftification of Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn
Hi there! I wanted to reach out about your recent draftification of Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn to discuss a few points.
First, if you are regularly draftifying articles, I highly recommend that you install the MoveToDraft script. This will make the draftification process easier and make sure all the steps are take, including notifying the article creator (and potentially other editors), prepping the draft for AfC (e.g., by adding {{draft article}}), and tagging the redirect for R2 deletion. The script will provides draftification rationale to inform the editor, which is a good reminder of draftification rationale, and can you if the article may be ineligible for draftification (e.g., edited in the past hour or over 90 days old). I recommend all NPP use this script.
Second, even if you do not use the above script, you should be informing editors that their article has been moved to draftspace. Not informing them can be bitey and confusing.
Lastly, I have moved Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn back to mainspace because "unattributed translation" is not a valid draftification rationale. Although unattributed copyright violations are a form of copyright violation, the copyright violation would still apply in draftspace and thus, need to be fixed. Instead, it's best practice to add the attribution yourself, then warn the editor about unattributed translations. The AttributeTranslation script can handle many of these steps for you. That said, when I looked for versions of this article on other Wikis, I couldn't find the version the current article would be translated from as none feel like a good match. This could be an error on my end, though.
Sorry if this is a lot! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 00:04, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Significa liberdade - I have downloaded the MoveToDraft and the AttributeTranslation scripts. You're right that it was not an unattributed translation. I might've moved the wrong article. I've been recommended User:MPGuy2824 script before. All this feedback from users has been overwhelming and piling up on my talk page rapidly. CostalCal (talk) 04:34, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry it's been overwhelming! The most important thing is learning to accept feedback and move forward. I know I used to get plenty of feedback on my talk page, too, and it could certainly be overwhelming. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out. You can also join the Wikipedia Discord. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 04:38, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Significa liberdade - You're right, the MoveToDraft script makes draftifying a lot easier. CostalCal (talk) 23:23, 23 May 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Telenorte Iquique
Hi there! I wanted to add a note here about Draft:Telenorte Iquique.
Firstly, per WP:NPPHOUR, which you've previously been warned about, articles should not be draftified if they've been meaningfully edited within the past hour. In this case, the article had been created five minutes earlier, making it ineligible for draftification. Secondly, you draftified for "unattributed translation". However, the edit summary on creation reads, Fully translated from es:Telenorte Iquique, research attributed to Spanish Wikipedia user Sfs90. Translated without machine translation tools
. Per WP:TRANSLATE, an edit summary such as this is the only attribution required. Again, let me know if you have any questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk)
- Adding that Draft:Canal 13 TVN Señal 2, which you draftified for unattributed translation, also had an edit summary attribution. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 00:24, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
