Dispute on Removal of Sourced Igbo Content

Hello Dolpina, I opened a dispute resolution request regarding the Head tie article. Here is the link. You are welcome to participate. Deetailz (talk) 05:25, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

Response addressing the notification you dropped on my talk page regarding the article on Igbo culture

Could you specify what part exactly is not properly sourced because I added multiple sources that support the contents which includes Ibo village affairs by MM Green discussing Igbo women's clothing, Nigerian Textiles by Venice, Nigerian Handcrafted textiles by Eicher, Ikenga Journal, Style and Substance: Why what we wear matters among others. The paragraphs are overloaded with verifiable citations that support the content. Please feel free to open a dispute if you still disagree. Regarding the images, I manually verified them on Wikimedia commons and they're uploads by owners who identify as Igbo women wearing Ichafu headdress. Please be specific with what exactly you're disputing Dreune (talk) 00:38, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

The sources and content you added appear not to be relevant to the paragraph. The paragraph like the title of the article speaks on Igbo regalia not Yoruba regalia or colonialism. what you practically did was describe Igbo people as naked with no clothing until colonial encounter based on a study in a specific region not the entire Igbo people. The article does not speak of colonial syncretism nor colonial history. It focuses on the clothing articles and regalia of the Igbo people. Inserting such content on the paragraph discussing regalia items, especially when there are multiple sources that do discuss Igbo manufacturing their clothing and what they wore before colonial contact seems inappropriate for that section. Also I improved on the sections to appear more articulated. Book titles, authors and origin stories dispersed in this article could make it less easier for readers to understand. The disputed images you removed will be discussed in the pending content dispute.Dreune (talk) 18:28, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

You are free to observe. You have consistently not maintained goodfaith. No, my sources don't do whatever you state. Leave them in and edit what you want. I'm literally the only one being cooperative here. Add whatever else you want, leave my sources in as I left your in. You are not the one to decide anything. I can edit whatever pages I want as long as it follows guidelines and are well sourced anf notable. Please, stop making me repeat myself.

Hello, @ArthurTheGardener, I am becoming increasingly concerned about this user's conduct. They have contacted another editor, Lucy Iwuala, regarding this dispute, which appears to be an attempt to canvass support from an editor who has been heavily involved in similar Igbo-related topics and may have a conflict of interest.

In addition, Dreune has repeatedly reverted my sourced contributions without providing substantive edit summaries or engaging with the sources I have presented. Rather than discussing the content on the talk page or using the appropriate dispute resolution processes, they have continued reverting my edits. This gives the impression of ownership over the article, which is not consistent with collaborative editing.

I would prefer that the article remain at the last stable version while any concerns are discussed through the appropriate channels, rather than a one sided edit war (I didnt remove any of his sourced content).

Hi I clicked on Wikipedia admin notice board, dropped a message to two random admins to intervene in this talk session when you removed most images in the article and replaced it with unrelated images, removed sourced contents and added unverified information and even refused to pay attention to Arthur when he said you should stop removing the images, the admins said they're not knowledgeable in this field. I asked whether I could look out for knowledgeable contributors to mediate, he said I can go ahead. I looked up major contributors on Igbo/Nigerian culture to mediate. I also saw you dropped a message inviting a user for mediation too, so I assume it's a normal process of the talk. Your conculusions are incorrect. Thanks. Dreune (talk) 22:07, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
A review of the talk page will reveal that it is you who reverted not just my edits but transformed the article even when the admin Arthur told you not to. The images I removed were inappropriate for the sections. Your sourced contents were out of the scope of the article. Contrary to your accusations of gatekeeping the article, I have continued to adjust the article to meet with the standards you demanded. I also followed the recommendations of an admin, yet you dismissed them while reverting the edits I made and removing images on grounds that they belong to your culture. Please I have opened a dispute on this. Let's take it there. Thanks Dreune (talk) 22:18, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
Please stop spamming my page. Stop. Thanks! Drop your link to whatever you want and stop adding further comments when I'm not addressing you. Dolpina (talk) 03:57, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

My Talk Page

I see that you have added, then deleted, four messages on my Talk page. Please don't do this, as it feels like harassment. Take your complaints to the relevant noticeboard. ArthurTheGardener (talk) 14:11, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

I didn't add delete 4 comments on your talk page, I made edits after to the ONE comment I published. That was because it wasnt edited properly. I repeat, I made one comment which was edit due to it not rendering properly, deleted nothing.
Please, don't accuse me of what I didnt do because you couldnt understand the Wikipedia code and what those details mean. Your comment is actually upsetting. Verify that it was an edit because claims of harassment is a strong language, especially when I didn't delete any comments, just edited. Dolpina (talk) 15:52, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
@ArthurTheGardenerArthurTheGardener
Here are your own page logs showing that I edited my ONE posted comment thrice, and I deleted nothing. You should clarify and apologise

I will take my complaints to my appropriate boards but please dont need to lie or jump to conclusions. I made one comment, and if anyone checks my page history they will see nothing was deleted. I will probably have to nuke this talk page now as its just slop now. Ugh. Please understand how Wikipedia works in that regard before accusing me of "deleting" when I edited , i found that appalling to claim feeling harrassed for what you made up, honestly.
Btw this is an actual second comment.
Anyways, cheers. Dolpina (talk) 16:02, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
