Help with editing a protected page
Hello Ganesha811,
I hope you are doing well. I am your assigned mentee. I need your help with a page I want to edit.
I have found reliable information from Al Jazeera (22 May 2026) about Russian casualties in the Ukraine war. According to Ukrainian commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Russian forces suffered over 141,500 total casualties between January and May 2026, including more than 83,000 killed.
I wanted to add this to the "Casualties of the Russo-Ukrainian war" page under the "Russian losses" subsection. However, the page is extended confirmed protected, and I do not have permission to edit it.
Could you please help me by either: 1. Making the edit yourself, or 2. Guiding me on how to submit a proper edit request?
Here is the exact text I would like to add with the citation:
According to Ukrainian commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Russian forces suffered over 141,500 total casualties between January and May 2026, including more than 83,000 killed.[1]
I think it could be placed after the sentence: "On 3 April 2026, Ukrainian president Zelenskyy said that Russia had suffered its highest losses in a single month since the start of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, with over 35,000 killed or wounded Russian soldiers in March."
Thank you for your guidance and support. Mohammed Shahidullah-Bin-Anwar (talk) 14:15, 22 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from User6970 (18:05, 16 June 2026)
Hi. I have a question about the help of AI in editing photo backgrounds. My images were reported and flagged for deletion just because someone didn't like the way the person in the photo is dressed. --User6970 (talk) 18:05, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- You can check out WP:AI-IMAGES for our guidelines on this. Generally, it's not a good idea to use AI to modify pictures of people, especially living people in any way. —Ganesha811 (talk) 20:16, 22 June 2026 (UTC)

Hola Ganesa811, How is it best to decided that an edit is appropriate for an article? If I wish to add information, is it best to make the edit and then, if another user disagrees they can remove the content? --Yellowtreetrack (talk) 00:50, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
