- @GiantSnowman: While Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players does repeat league cells, from how I recall previous discussions of rowspanning versus repetition of league cells at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football, no clear consensus for either ever emerged.
- Regarding accessibility Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players says: "as to repetition of league division, this thread suggests that, while "there is a slight advantage in accessibility when you repeat cells, rather than rowspanning them", "our readers won't be disadvantaged noticeably if we don't repeat every cell that contains duplicate data"." so accessibility doesn't seem majorly impacted by rowspanning.
- SKennedy157's change made the table consistent in itself as the league cells of earlier stints were already rowspanned. So I'd say the change was an improvement. Robby.is.on (talk) 12:28, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
