Looks great
Hey, I like the new table, great job. I corrected some minor spelling mistakes. Hmm...of course if you want to further your work on the article you can Cite some of the unreferenced sections. And if you want more feedback from a wider audience you can make a request here. Cheers and happy editing, keep up the great work. ~ Arjun 21:24, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
World calendar template
I removed all additions of the Calendar reforms template because it violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy—it either assumes that the World calendar will supersede the Gregorian calendar or that it is better than all other calendar reforms. Wikipedia does not allow one point of view, here a specific calendar reform, to take precedence over all others. — Joe Kress 00:30, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of List of states that formally recognise the independent Republic of Slovenia

I have nominated List of states that formally recognise the independent Republic of Slovenia, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of states that formally recognise the independent Republic of Slovenia. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Declined speedy deletion: Domnus of Stridon
I noticed that you tagged the page Domnus of Stridon for speedy deletion with the reason "Domnus of Stridon as one of only five attendants of the council from Western part of the empire, has most likely never existed". However, this is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can take the page to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for discussion on the merits if you still seek deletion. Thanks! Iffy★Chat -- 09:28, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- I've created Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Domnus of Stridon. Hope it's ok. --Janezdrilc (talk) 10:46, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, just a couple more suggestions, it would be easier for anyone interested in participating if you copied and pasted your reasoning from the talk page to the AFD page, and (Unless I've read your reasoning wrong) you should make it clearer that WP:HOAX is the policy/guideline that supports your reaon for wanting deletion. Iffy★Chat -- 11:45, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for help. I've copied reason also there. --Janezdrilc (talk) 11:55, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

- Hi, this category has been emptied yet again. I don't know what the deal is, but it would be great if this was addressed on the article's talk page. ✗plicit 11:54, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
Explicit, three relevant categories has been removed in article Pius XII (here). I can't understand way these categories are considered inapplicable to User:Medusahead. --Janezdrilc (talk) 12:03, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
- Because Venerables are not venerated in the RCC, they are just vener-able. Only saints and blesseds are venerated. (An alternative would be to rename tha categories accordingly but I don't know how to do that.)--Medusahead (talk) 08:03, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
Medusahead, for renaming Category:Venerated Catholics with number of subcategories the consensus of community is required. Without that I suggest we use current category naming, including "Venerated popes". --Janezdrilc (talk) 11:39, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
- Ah, thank you. That seems probably be too complicated. --Medusahead (talk) 08:40, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
Medusahead, here is the most reliable and relevant source for causes for sainthood:
These two sources are news from it:Papa Pio XII#Il processo di beatificazione e canonizzazione:
You can also check sources in other Wikipedias. Now please return three categories that you have removed. --Janezdrilc (talk) 10:11, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- Janezdril, we've already discussed this. Your source only states that a beatification process was opened – d'accord. But the opening of a beatification process does not mean, that the person is *venerated*. Venerated ones are those whose beatification process leads to the result of a beatification or, maybe, later that the person is canonised, when he or she has importance for the church and can be venerated by the church worldwide. Neither servants of God nor venerables are venerated, however.Medusahead (talk) 10:24, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
Besides, Pope Gregory VII can not have Category:Venerated popes since he is a saint. Venerable Servant of God is the second stage of four stages of sainthood proclamation. Consider the context and usage of categories named "Venerated": it's about the title Venerable Servant of God and not about worshiping a saint or a candidate for saint. --Janezdrilc (talk) 10:20, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- Sigh — see above. Venerable ≠ venerated. Greogry VII is venerated as a Saint.Medusahead (talk) 10:26, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
Medusahead, as I try to explain, "venerable categories" are used for Venerable Servants of God. They have nothing to do with veneration as such. Example: According to this Pope John Paul I was a Venerable Servant of God between 08 November 2017 and 04 September 2022. In this period his article was in the Category:Venerated popes (you can check article's history). So, this is the meaning of these categories. --Janezdrilc (talk) 10:37, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, this discussion is going in circles. The category's name is "venerated" not "venerable". We wouldn't have this problem if the category had the name "Venerable popes" – but it is "Venerated Popes".Medusahead (talk) 10:54, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
Medusahead, that's true. Therefore I repeat: If you are convinced the naming is too confused, you should propose a renaming. Otherwise it's completely unreasonable to force your own interpretation and usage of concerning categories. --Janezdrilc (talk) 11:01, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
- What about a new category: "Venerable Popes"? Pius XII and other could go into that and "Venerated Popes" stays either as it is now or could run empty and be deleted. Medusahead (talk) 08:15, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
I'm not sure about that. It's best to ask on Wikipedia:Categories for discussion. --Janezdrilc (talk) 10:14, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
