Can you clarify what you mean by "Zone Population Population as per 2011 Indian Census"? The source is also not viewable, so I've added a page and clarification needed tag. Note that the article is of the census town, and should be treated as such. I've added data from Census 2011 like other GA, FA status Indian articles. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:29, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Funcho moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Funcho, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Nskjnv. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Yanung Jamoh Lego, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. We ask that you:
- Avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors
- Disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI)
- Propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions
- Avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming)
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation for any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
See the FAQ for article subjects for more information.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. This article concerns a practitioner of traditional folk herbalism and is therefore directly governed by WP:MEDRS, WP:FRINGE, WP:NPOV, WP:V, WP:BLP and WP:NOTPROMOTION. You are reminded in the strongest possible terms that claims of curing, treating or healing serious medical conditions, including but not limited to cancer, diabetes, hypertension, epilepsy and leprosy, through herbal or folk preparations are pseudoscientific and exceptional claims requiring exceptional sources; per WP:MEDRS, such claims must be supported by systematic reviews, peer-reviewed clinical trials or statements from major medical bodies, and Indian-language press profiles, regional news features, hagiographic interviews, government press releases and the subject's own statements do not meet this threshold and never will, regardless of how many such sources are stacked together. Honorifics such as "Adi Queen of Herbs", unverified patient-count figures cited from press releases, and language framing the subject's practice as effective medicine all violate WP:PEACOCK, WP:PUFFERY and WP:UNDUE, and the Padma Shri is a civilian honour, not scientific validation of any therapeutic claim and must not be presented as such. Any reintroduction of cure claims, unattributed peacock honorifics, unverified treatment statistics or wording that presents folk-medicine efficacy in Wikipedia's voice will be reverted on sight under BLP and FRINGE, and persistent reintroduction may be reported to FTN, BLPN or ANI without further notice. You may be banned if you continue to introduce such claimsFlyingphoenixchips (talk) 03:45, 27 June 2026 (UTC) Flyingphoenixchips (talk) 03:45, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hello @Flyingphoenixchips,
- Thank you for your patience and for the detailed note earlier. I have reflected on your feedback and I appreciate that you are clearly invested in keeping this article policy-compliant.
- I want to state clearly for the record: I have no personal or professional connection to Smt.Yanung Jamoh Lego. I am a Wikimedian genuinely dedicated to bringing underrepresented content to Wikipedia and the wider Wikimedia movement particularly around indigenous languages, cultures, peoples, and organisations. That is the sole motivation behind my contributions to this article, and I believe we share that broader commitment to making knowledge more inclusive.
- Now that I have had a chance to read the current version more carefully, I find myself with a few honest questions; not to push back, but because I want to understand how to contribute better going forward.
- The lead currently describes her work as "pseudoscience" in Wikipedia's own voice. I was under the impression that WP:NPOV asks us to attribute such characterisations rather than state them as fact, am I reading that correctly?
- The Qualifications section is quite detailed legally, citing several statutes and a Supreme Court ruling. I can see why the "Dr." prefix point matters, but I wasn't sure if this level of detail is typical for a BLP, would a shorter, attributed summary serve the same purpose?
- The NCI study cited in the Scientific Assessment section seems to be about patients who replaced conventional treatment with alternatives. Is there a source that connects this specifically to Lego's practice, or is that something I am missing?
- The note after the Awards section clarifying that the Padma Shri is not scientific endorsement is this something that appears in similar articles? I only ask because I want to make sure I understand the convention.
- I hope these come across as genuine questions rather than challenges. I would really value your perspective before I consider any further edits. Nskjnv (talk) 11:57, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Nskjnv, thanks for the measured reply and for engaging on talk rather than just reverting. Well, on "pseudoscience" in Wikipedia voice. WP:NPOV does ask for attribution of opinions, but it carves out a specific exception for fringe science. The relevant passages are WP:PSCI and the ArbCom principle on pseudoscience, which together say that theories considered pseudoscientific by the scientific community should be so labeled in Wikipedia's own voice without attribution. Ayurveda, the broader category that Adi herbal practice sits within for these purposes, is one of the standing examples cited at WP:FRINGE/PS and has been stable as such on its own article for years. So the lead is doing what policy requires, is not departing from it. If we attributed it ("critics describe..." or "scientists consider..."), we would actually be creating a false balance problem under WP:GEVAL. well, true length is a fair concern in the abstract, and ordinarily I would agree that statutes do not belong in a BLP at that depth. However, the subject's clinic site, third-party promoters and at least one interview use "Dr.", while the official Padma Shri citation uses Smt. Statutory context is what anchors the distinction in sources rather than editor opinion. This is allowed as per WP:BLP But yes, I feel this can be shortened into one sentence, instead. As for the NCI study, those are governed by WP:PARITY and WP:FRIND. When a WP:BLP subject makes therapeutic claims for cancer, diabetes, hypertension, epilepsy and leprosy and no WP:MEDRS source has evaluated them, we situate the claims within the scientific consensus on the broader category. We cannot leave WP:REDFLAG claims standing unrebutted on the grounds that no study named the practitioner. Also I have removed the padma shri mention, but that is standard at WP:FTN for civilian honours in fringe-adjacent WP:BLPs. We can however definitely hold a discussion and get community consensus on this. I am not against cutting down few of the overly detailed paragraphs as well. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Young Tinker Foundation when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.
