Crown corporations in Canada

Hey @Oknazevad, you made this revision on an edit stating that "Canada doesn't call government owned things "crown" the way the British do". In fact, Crown corporations are a uniquely Canadian thing, and the Crown appellation isn't used in the UK for State-owned enterprises of the United Kingdom. I'm not going to revert the edit because it doesn't really matter, but as a Canadian who actually knows Canadian culture that edit really irked me. TimeEngineer (talk) 08:24, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

Private Snafu

Hi, in this edit you've reverted my changes, saying that it's unneeded. Are you sure the added clarifier was actually unneeded? I think "Dr. Seuss" is more recognizable than his legal name. —Opecuted (talk) 05:51, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

Golden State Warriors on 4 major pro league cities article

I noticed you reverted my edit several days ago. While it isn’t obvious the GSW are based in the city of SF the context of the table should be enough as only teams based within the metro area are italicized with their actual city location.Banan14kab (talk) 01:33, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

As I said over a decade ago on the talk page of the article, the problem is there is no clear central city to the Bay Area. While Oakland is no longer a factor in the list, San Jose is no suburb, and is in fact more populated that San Francisco.
Plus the whole purpose of the small text of the specific municipalities is to indicate which specific one the team plays in when it's not the same as the city named in the team name. Like the Niners actually playing in Santa Clara, not San Francisco these days.
With the Warriors there's zero indication which specific city it is since they're named for the state's nickname, and there's no good reason to assume they are specifically in San Francisco because the teams are split between the two main cities; for those unfamiliar it is not an unreasonable assumption that they would share an arena with the Sharks. In fact, they actually did for a couple of seasons while the Oakland Arena was gut renovated back in the 90s. (Heck, the team had scheduled a press conference to announce to announce they were moving to San Jose, but at the last minute it instead became a presser to announce the deal for that renovation and that their stay in San Jose would be temporary.)
If anything, the Sharks should not be italicized, nor do they need the San Jose specified in small text because they're actually named for and located in San Jose, which, again, is not a suburb in the sense towns like Santa Clara, East Rutherford, or Foxborough. The Warriors, on the other hand, should continue to indicate which city they play in, like the Minnesota teams. oknazevad (talk) 04:27, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

Template:NBA labeled map

You may have noticed that I changed the dimensions of the above-referenced template back to what they were previously, but instead added lines to the Nets and Knicks labels and moved them further apart. This is preferred because the map is already getting too large. Also, I wanted the MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, and NHL map templates to all have about the same dimensions. Finally, I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but if you view the page in Desktop mode and click on the square in the uppr-right corner, it opens up an interactive map that allows you to zoom in as far as you want and also provides links to the team's and arena's pages when you click on the pin. I was aware of all of that, but I don't think one should have to click on another page to make the map usable. Also, o think these dimensions are too small for all five of the maps, and they should be universally bumped up. The plain fact is the northeast U.S. is pretty dense, both in team sand in state size, so the current default is just too small to not cover things with labels. oknazevad (talk) 22:57, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Increasing the dimensions only widens its borders, so that more of the oceans, Canada, and Mexico are visible. It doesn't change the label sizes. I have recreated the map with the larger dimensions here. Assadzadeh (talk) 23:06, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

San Francisco Bay Area Lede

Hi, I reverted your edit listing "San Francisco" first in the list of three cities in the page's lede. Listing the cities in alphabetical order (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose) is a consensus, good faith compromise among several editors that avoids synthesis and conflicting, subjective factors as to what makes a city primary (such as population, jobs, etc.) in a uniquely polycentric region. The change was made five years ago by the editor who initiated the dispute, not me. If you'd like to reopen that debate, please do so on the talk page instead of through reverts to the status quo. The issue with "decorative colors"

Hi there, I have noticed you have made reverts with the summary "No decorative colors" on the World Championship Wrestling template without any further explanation for that despite WCW's current logo used on the vault channel and their logo used from 1988 to 1999 being the same colors. Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, the NWA, Pro Wrestling Noah, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and other promotions have similar color schemes on their templates. Also, that "bloat" you removed were the partnerships WCW had along with the home bases which were used for their programming (WWE, CMLL, Game Changer Wrestling, NWA, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and others have similar sections). I would suggest possibly suggest rethinking your edits before going through with them. I was wrong in regards to the bloat in the WWE template however but the color scheme edit made sense as well as other wrestling articles before my edits also color schemes. Hi, I undone your reversion on the TMNT template where you stated "valid use of color"? As far as I know, addition of color to those type of templates are discouraged per MOS:COLOR (unlike sports teams where colors are frequently used on their templates).

Please take more care when rolling back edits. I had already undone the damaging parts of the TA’s edits and your rollback ended up rolling back a full page cleanup, reintroducing unsourced content and unreliable sources.

The name “Thurgood Marshall” doesn’t go in the infobox or the lede, as those should reflect the name of the article - and for better or worse (a move request can always be opened), the article name doesn’t include Thurgood Marshall. The lead is incorrect. The full name should be presented first. It does not need to match the title. See WP:LEAD. As it stands the actual full official name appears nowhere in the lead. That's incorrect style. I am restoring that. oknazevad (talk) 13:44, 26 May 2026 (UTC)
