i don't think i need the exemption anymore

it was just a yesterday thing Oreocooke (talk) 17:32, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi, Oreo. First, thanks for coming yesterday! It was great to see you.
Anyway, I know you no longer need the exemption, but I'm of the opinion that it's always better to have it just in case than to not have it at all. In my experience, I've always needed the exemption because I end up in places where the IP is blocked, so better safe than sorry, and I'd rather have less interruption to my editing activities than more.
That said, if you really insist on not having the exemption anymore, please let me know and I can remove it. --Sky Harbor (talk) 03:09, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
ok
tbf i guess it would've been useful when i couldn't edit on commons at all in the blocked zone i frequent most due to the block not being anon. only like it is on enwiki Oreocooke (talk) 06:40, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Unfortunately IP block exemptions are per project, so I cannot grant them on other projects. Commons, for example, has its own IP block exemption process.
However, this can help somewhat: if you feel that you need a global IP block exemption flag because you regularly encounter this problem, you can request for one here on Meta. --Sky Harbor (talk) 06:47, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

for security reasons

hey can you block this account for security reasons. i don't plan on ever using it again and don't want @TheTechie to suffer if it gets compromised. Oreocooke (talk) 00:21, 2 February 2026 (UTC)

actually you don't necessarily have to anymore, but if it starts acting up at any point i would heavily reccommend blocking it as compromised User "Oreocooke" (speak of the sun and it shines) 04:41, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
I would not mind if you blocked any and all doppelgangers listed on my user page (TheTechie~enwiki, ZeTechie, and AuroraTheTechie). thetechie@enwiki:~$ she/they | talk 17:13, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Hi, Oreo. So would you prefer that the three accounts be blocked now preemptively in that case? Or only if the account is starting to act up, whenever that may be? --Sky Harbor (talk) 17:16, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
I think there's a bit of confusion here. Oreo made User:TheTechie~enwiki on my behalf. The other two were made by me. Regardless, I would prefer they'd be blocked for security reasons. thetechie@enwiki:~$ she/they | talk 17:24, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Yes, there was a bit of confusion on my part given the way the responses were made. So hi, TheTechie, and let me do this: I will shortly block your doppelgängers as you listed them. I trust that your previous message is to confirm that, so let me work on this and will update you shortly. --Sky Harbor (talk) 17:27, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
No worries! Feel free to ping me when you do so. thetechie@enwiki:~$ she/they | talk 17:45, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Hi, TheTechie. All accounts mentioned have now been blocked. --Sky Harbor (talk) 19:05, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
Thanks! thetechie@enwiki:~$ she/they | talk 19:06, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
ok cool thank you User "Oreocooke" (speak of the sun and it shines) 06:08, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

On 16 March 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Embassy of the Philippines, Suva, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Embassy of the Philippines, Suva. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Embassy of the Philippines, Suva), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Want to join Wiki Loves Fútbol?

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Fútbol! We're running it during the 2026 World Cup, starting now until July 19. Help us edit pages on everything futbol: think national teams from across Latin America, players, host cities, and the stuff around the cup that usually gets short shrift, like the immigration and culture angles. We're working in both English and Spanish.

Here's the fun part: it's set up like a Panini sticker album. You collect stamps for different kinds of contributions: editing an article, adding a photo over on Wikimedia Commons, doing a translation, or starting a Wikidata item. Fill the album first to win $200. That’s not all: we are also giving out $25 prizes to the “Player of the Match” every week the contest runs. You don't have to be a power editor to play. Everyone is welcome!

If you're a little curious, come take a look at our target articles. Do you think we are missing some good articles? We are open to suggestions! The best place to actually get going is our WikiLatinos Discord, that's where the article missions will live, where the leaderboard is, and where someone can point you to a good first edit if you want one.

Hope you'll jump in. Oscar_. (talk) 17:30, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
