Information icon Hello, I'm TonySt. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Alamgir II, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. tony 04:52, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Anglo-Mysore wars. You are not permitted to make edits related to Indian military history until your account is 30 days old with 500 edits. You are far from both criteria. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), broadly construed, including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

To enforce an arbitration decision, you have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a period of 48 hours. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.

Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes"). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

You are not permitted to edit any page on Wikipedia related to Indian military history until your account is 30 days old with 500 edits, you are far from both criteria. If you acknowledge this and agree to abide by it, I will remove the block, otherwise, you may appeal as described above. 331dot (talk) 09:06, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

@331dot I am not modifying or changing any articles, I'm at the "Talk page" doing my best to make a relevant point certain to Wikipedia and start a discussion. Toterre6&7 (talk) 09:17, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
You are not permitted to edit any page on Wikipedia related to Indian military history, this includes talk pages. The only thing you are permitted to do in formally designated contentious topic areas with a 30/500 restriction is make wholly uncontroversial edit requests that do not require discussion to achieve a consensus(mostly grammar and spelling fixes). You are not permitted to participate in discussions about it. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
Again, if you agree to abide by this, I will remove the block ASAP. 331dot (talk) 10:51, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Talk:Mamluk. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. GenoV84 (talk) 04:56, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

icon Please explain your contributions using a descriptive edit summary. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation, as you did at Sultanate of Mysore, may be confused with vandalism. Thank you. GenoV84 (talk) 04:58, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Sultanate of Mysore, you may be blocked from editing. GenoV84 (talk) 05:08, 11 May 2026 (UTC)

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then submit a request through the unblock wizard or through your talk page.  ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 12:31, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
