A Google search for the phrase "DP+W" returns nothing related to Deadpool & Wolverine - is this redirect really useful? Epsilon.Prota talk 23:29, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

hey you listed this twice it seems. FYI BarntToust 23:43, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) Utopes (talk / cont) 02:55, 23 August 2025 (UTC)

Has existed since 2007 as an ATD but this is an infeasible redirect and also an orphan except a discussion about it in the wikiproject archives. JacobTheRox(talk | contributions) 14:50, 30 July 2025 (UTC)

  • Weak keep unless a history merge into the target is possible. Steel1943 (talk) 21:37, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
I support a histmerge because it was merged in with Special:Diff/170383411. Can this just be done by the closer or do I need to ask somewhere else? JacobTheRox(talk | contributions) 11:13, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
(commenting per a request on my talk page) I don't think a history merge makes sense here; there are WP:Parallel histories with respect to this edit, there was no cut to the draft, and there is only one author with substantive content to the draft. * Pppery * it has begun... 18:41, 13 August 2025 (UTC)

Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Jay 💬 17:49, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep to preserve history. A history merge is completely unfeasible, because the prior history of the main page is substantial, it would become hopelessly mixed up with that of the draft.
On that note, I often see requests for history merge that really should not have been made; I think that some people are misunderstanding the meaning and purpose of history merge. When we had Anthony Appleyard (talk · contribs) as just about the only person performing histmerges, he rightly rejected those that were not totally justifiable. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:09, 15 August 2025 (UTC)

He has played in several tournaments, and in an individual capacity, apart from being part of the national team, and there are mentions in multiple articles. His reference came up at another Indian national badmintion team player RfD as well, "redirecting a person to a team or tournament is almost always a bad idea". Delete. The result of the discussion was retarget to The Briad Group. (non-admin closure) Left guide (talk) 14:12, 21 August 2025 (UTC)

The Briad Group is probably a better target. Also occurs as a typo for "broad". 1234qwer1234qwer4 14:43, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

Retarget to The Briad Group; while I'm certain there's gonna be more typos for "broad" or "braid" than there are people actually looking to get to Briad, at the very least it's pretty easy to see how they got there; and anyone ACTUALLY looking for Briad Group won't appreciate being sent to Braid or Broad instead. I looked this up on Google and it seems like this name is only used for the United Kingdom as a joke and it's not mentioned in the UK's article either. ArthananWarcraft (talk) 13:56, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

  • Depose. A joke that also doesn't make sense now that the UK has a King instead of a Queen. 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 14:07, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete. Inappropriate target. Web searches show that the term is not used for the country but is used for a drag show and a play that received bad reviews, neither of which is notable enough to have an article. DrKay (talk) 19:04, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Delete. Some sort of WP:NOTHERE joke. No one is ever going to search for that looking for the UK. DeCausa (talk) 21:18, 14 August 2025 (UTC)
@DeCausa: Please retract the WP:NOTHERE comment. The redirect was created in good faith and properly tagged as {{R from incorrect name}}. NOTHERE is a behavioural standard, not a basis for judging redirects. Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 00:17, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
I assumed the joke was based on WP:UPPERCASE-- i.e. the name of the redirect, not the policy it's linked to. I.E. "insert joke here about the UQ not being here". (Heck, we're dealing with the fallout of people using WP:UPPERCASE'd shortcut names as jokes down below with the WP:POOP RfD.) Nevermind, I was wildly mistaken re:UPPERCASE. 10:08, 16 August 2025 (UTC) 𝔏𝔲𝔫𝔞𝔪𝔞𝔫𝔫🌙🌙🌙 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔐𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔬𝔫𝔦𝔢𝔰𝔱 (talk) 01:36, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
@Neveselbert: you're obviously not NOTHERE. I hadn't, until just now, seen that you were the creator of the redirect. I must admit to being completely baffled why you would create it. I guess I should have checked who created it - I just assumed it must be an IP or someone with a handful of edits. For that reason I assumed it must have been a NOTHERE act. But why would you, a serious editor, create this???? I don't get it. DeCausa (talk) 06:31, 16 August 2025 (UTC)
@DeCausa: Fair enough. I honestly don't remember why I created it, but it wasn't intended as a joke or anything disruptive. Happy to leave the outcome to consensus. Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 05:39, 19 August 2025 (UTC)

WP:R#D5 per concern expressed by @Rusalkii: on talk. Per Wiktionary, "unys" is Cornish for "united" and "Kernowyon" means "Cornishmen". Paradoctor (talk) 09:52, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

The redirect says 1980 because the old article title of the game was "Video Pinball (1980 video game)". It can be deleted and a new redirect replacing the 0 with a 1 should be created. Maxeto0910 (talk) 04:57, 14 August 2025 (UTC)

Delete, in that case it's flipped around-- too vague a target for too specific a term. The article on Commemorative plaque has zilch on South Yorkshire. What it DOES have is a link to National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty; the issue is that that veers dangerously into WP:PTM territory.
