This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Sweden. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion
Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
  1. Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
  2. You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Sweden|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
Removing a closed AfD discussion
Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
Other types of discussions
You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Sweden. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Trångsund school shooting

Trångsund school shooting (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)

I propose merging this article to List of school attacks in Sweden because this is a very minor event with a limited number of sources. Militant.Insurgency (talk) 21:31, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

Keep and oppose merge, theres several sources on it. Hotrodguy84 (talk) 02:39, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

Keep the event is notable enough and it was a source of debate among politicians (unusual for a Swedish shooting) this event has quite a bit of coverage and more sources can be added (not even close to comprehensive) AFeatherlessBipehead (talk) 22:18, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

To expand on this, I recently nominated the Kristianstad School Stabbing for deletion, that article was a better example of something that doesn't pass WP:NCRIME, the article was about an event that barely had any coverage, and after the perpetrator was sentenced there was no reports at all (not to mention that some "information" in the article was just straight up false). The crime in that case was not even mentioned by any important figures and did not cause a nation wide debate over school safety. This is not the case for this article. AFeatherlessBipehead (talk) 12:31, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Support merge. News stories should be written about in the proper place instead of being split off into its own article. I'd also support a merge to Trångsund. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:55, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
I don't think "news stories belong elsewhere" is, by itself, a sufficient reason to merge. The question here is whether the topic satisfies Wikipedia's notability guidelines, not whether it could theoretically be covered in another article. In this case, the shooting received significant independent coverage beyond routine crime reporting. It also prompted discussion among national politicians and a broader debate about school safety, which distinguishes it from many otherwise local criminal incidents. That suggests the event has enduring encyclopedic significance rather than being just a routine news story. If the concern is that the current article is underdeveloped, that's an argument for improvement, not necessarily for merging. A standalone article can be expanded with additional sources covering the aftermath, political response, and longer-term impact. AFeatherlessBipehead (talk) 18:59, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
If you'd like me to cite a notability guideline, I'm going off of WP:PAGEDECIDE. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 19:52, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
In this case, there is enough material for a standalone article: the incident itself, the investigation, the political reaction, and the subsequent debate over school safety. Those topics would make a list entry or a section in Trångsund unnecessarily large and difficult to navigate. If additional sources are added, the standalone article becomes even more appropriate. If the concern is that the article doesn't cite enough sources, that is something that can be addressed through expansion. I don't think merging is the best solution when the topic itself appears to meet the threshold for a dedicated article. AFeatherlessBipehead (talk) 19:58, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
  • Keep. Seems to clearly be enough sources to make this an effective article. Jishara (talk) 06:10, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Stockholm chamber of commerce

Stockholm chamber of commerce (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Short stub article about an organization, not properly referenced as passing WP:ORG criteria. As always, chambers of commerce exist around the world and do more or less the same things everywhere, making them pretty run of the mill -- so the key to making a chamber of commerce notable enough for a Wikipedia article is not to minimally verify that it exists, but to write a substantive article, referenced to a significant volume and depth of WP:GNG-worthy coverage in reliable sources, to demonstrate that this chamber of commerce is a special case of greater notability than the norm.
But this is just "it exists, the end", referenced to just two directly affiliated primary sources that are not support for notability, which is not what it takes. Bearcat (talk) 14:01, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

then get rid of it then. OrangeLemonaide55 (talk) 15:18, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
Would it be possible to just get rid of this one and make a shortcut to the SCC? I'm sorry I made this mistake, but the SCC Arbitration Institute Article references a Stockholm Chamber of Commerce article several times. and I want to make one. S
Sorry about this. Is there anyway to make it a shortcut or perhaps even fix this article before deletion to make it more applicable to Wikipedia's rules? I'm sorry I'm new. I'm pretty sure you can make a shortcut or something. OrangeLemonaide55 (talk) 15:32, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
What we need is independent in-depth sources about it. Geschichte (talk) 10:21, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
