Bridgeport, WV

Hello I appreciate your monitoring pages and protecting vandalism and all that, but I think my additions to the local city pages have all been very valuable. The crime section i added to Bridgeport is very notable history and i sourced it all well, I am not sure why you would not think it belonged there. I am not trying to be a jerk, I am trying to make the pages legit better and more informative. It is good history. I mean the sitting mayor went to prison for drugs, it is a very valuable story I think, as one example. Garkeith (talk) 17:46, 9 August 2026 (UTC)

I went and read up on the subject and I now better understand why you removed the things you removed. I am adding back the Mario Blount case under the government section instead of making the notable crime section. Hopefully that is acceptable to you. Thank you for your guidance. Garkeith (talk) 18:02, 9 August 2026 (UTC)

Uuuh??

What do you mean? That shop is located at 13500 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603, United States, as Google Maps says to me.

What map do you used? VitorFriboquen :] (Talk) 20:12, 15 August 2026 (UTC)

@Vitorperrut555: Look at it's location on Google Maps. It's well outside the city. This map is published by the city, and shows the same boundaries as the Google Map. The restaurant is well outside the city. You're looking at the mailing address, which can be up to 20 miles outside the city limits. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:22, 15 August 2026 (UTC)

Hostile edit summaries

Hi, Magnolia677, I noticed a few of your edit summaries might go against WP:CIV, especially when you revert other's edits. This edit summary reverting my edit was very snarky. I did not see the small texts on the signs (which was my fault), and just letting me know the signs had the PSL's name on them was enough, you did not need to say "Is the sky blue?" I noticed this in a few of your edit summaries like these ones. I'm not disagreeing with your edits, most of them are very helpful, just try to follow WP:CIV. AnthonyTheGuy (talk) 04:41, 16 August 2026 (UTC)

I had a similar experience with this user this morning. I added some Potawatomi placenames to locations that said group inhabited in the past, and Magnolia677 told me to stop adding "Indian names". I was really surprised at this, because I was adding names from a specific language, not just haphazardly editing things to include Indigenous languages. Everything was sourced to a Potawatomi dictionary. The user didn't even tell me to add information to the article, just reverted my additions and told me to stop editing. I'm really surprised and disappointed. NuminiRitonae (talk) 18:29, 12 October 2026 (UTC)

Greensburg PA

@Magnolia677: Greetings. I noticed your edits to the Greensburg PA article. I understand your reason. I will volunteer to insert some citations to reliable sources by the end of the day today (Mon. Aug. 17). In the meantime, if you could hold off on further edits it would make my task much easier. Cordially, BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 12:36, 17 August 2026 (UTC)

@Magnolia677: Regarding your 8 August revert, your edit summary cited "non-notable entries," but the revert removed the entire alumni list, including individuals who have their own established, independent Wikipedia articles.

Could you clarify the basis for removing all of the entries rather than only those you considered non-notable? If there are separate sourcing or list-inclusion concerns with particular names, I think those entries should be evaluated individually rather than the entire list being removed under a general non-notability rationale.

@BuzzWeiser196: I didn't edit Greensburg PA on August 8. More importantly, you have been reverted by two editors for adding unsourced content. Magnolia677 (talk) 13:10, 17 August 2026 (UTC)

Greensburg PA edits

Responding to your response: I was referring to the 10 deletions you made on Aug. 17... not Aug. 8. My mistake, but nevertheless, I will attempt to find sources for the statements you deleted. BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 14:05, 17 August 2026 (UTC)

Reverts to Navajo cities

Hi- I am struggling to understand some of your reverts. One in particular, to Dilkon, Arizona, removed the Navajo name of the city, even though that name is the title of the entry in nv.wiki. MOS:FOREIGNEQUIV does not require citations for foreign equivalents to proper nouns. Further, the state of Arizona maintains a record of these names at https://azmemory.azlibrary.gov/. Can you please explain why you are making these reverts? WMSR (talk) 23:05, 19 August 2026 (UTC)

@WMSR: Please discuss on article talk page. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:35, 20 August 2026 (UTC)

Are you stalking me?

After you and I had a discussion on the Greensburg PA article, you turned your attention to another article I edited recently: Loganville GA. BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 13:02, 22 August 2026 (UTC)

Yea, that meets the standards of "wiki-stalking" basically stalking, and editing on wikipedia, anyways, its Ghastling1934 (talk) 21:47, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
Doing the same thing to me right now. Ecallahan08 (talk) 23:17, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
Before making allegations of stalking (WP:HOUNDING) against another user, it would be wise to gather sufficient evidence that said user is following you across Wikipedia clearly with the "aim of creating irritation, annoyance, or distress". User contribution pages exist for many reasons, one of which is to easily determine if a user's problematic edits are being reflected on other pages. Furthermore, if you look at Magnolia677's recent contributions, you will see that a large portion of them have been to articles on American cities; a topic area which you also seem to frequently edit. If you and Magnolia share a common interest, then there will inevitably be an overlap in the articles you edit. - ZLEA TǀC 23:50, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
I understand that. I see now that we might share similar interests. I do have a question though. Where was this response to me "accusing someone" when the original comment was made two weeks ago by someone else? No one was getting defensive about accusations, hounding, and harassment until I noted that something similar felt like it was happening to me. Ecallahan08 (talk) 23:56, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
I was responding to the original comment, though I only saw it now because your reply appeared in my watchlist (Magnolia's talk page is one of the many high-profile user talk pages I watch, and despite the humorous name of such behavior, it's not that weird) and I had somehow missed the previous comments (it's been a busy few weeks for me). That said, everything I said applies to anyone who suspects they are being hounded on Wikipedia. It is important to assume good faith unless and until it is beyond a reasonable doubt that the user is acting in bad faith. There are many good faith reasons to track another user's edits, so one must take care to consider all of them before making accusations of hounding. - ZLEA TǀC 00:19, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
Same here Magnolia677 is WP:HOUNDING me too. Especially on WP:AFD articles. Bryce M (talk) 22:15, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
if there is more reports, someone has to report it Ghastling1934 (talk) 20:14, 3 October 2026 (UTC)

Fontainebleau Development

Hi Magnolia677, I'm working to update the Fontainebleau Development article. I noticed that you have edited related articles in the past, so I hope you'll consider reviewing the edit request I posted here: Talk:Fontainebleau_Development#History_section_update.

Notable people inclusion criteria

I understand the WikiProject U.S. counties suggestion that people with a known city or town connection generally be placed in the more specific article, but I don't think that requires treating a person's connections to a town, county, and nearby city as mutually exclusive.

Virgil L. Highland has separate, well-documented connections to all three places. He was born at West Milford and grew up on his family's farm near there. He also has a direct Harrison County connection beyond his birthplace, having served six years as Harrison County clerk. His principal business and public career was based in Clarksburg, where he came in 1890, organized and served as president of the Empire National Bank, was involved with the Clarksburg Telegram and numerous other businesses, and maintained his home.

For that reason, I think there is a reasonable basis for listing him in West Milford, Harrison County, and Clarksburg. These are three different geographic connections: birthplace and upbringing, county-level public service, and the city where he lived and built his career.

The existing Harrison County list also includes numerous people whose specific municipality within the county is known, including people born in Clarksburg, Bridgeport, and Salem. If the intent is to change the county article so that anyone associated with a specific municipality is excluded, I think that should be discussed as a change to the inclusion criteria for the entire section and then applied consistently, rather than applied to Highland alone. Garkeith (talk) 11:14, 2 September 2026 (UTC)

@Garkeith: Please discuss on article talk page, as I will be disputing this. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:42, 2 September 2026 (UTC)

Rock Creek

Hello Magnolia677! I hope all is well. I need a little help. In my sandbox i am creating a Rock Creek Badlands article (in Saskatchewan). The main watercourse through the badlands is Rock Creek. It appears to flow south into Montana and meet the Milk River, according to . Now, i like as much info as possible when i create an article so i can be as accurate as possible. In Canada, as you may know, CGND is a great resource. It lists all the Rock Creeks in Saskatchewan. Is there a comparable site for the US that would list all the Rock Creeks in Montana? I don't edit / create US based articles very often so i am not familiar with sources. The Rock Creek i am looking at isnt listed at List of rivers of Montana and the article already called Rock Creek in Montana is a different River (Rock Creek (Montana). Any help on sources would be great! Thanks in advance. Masterhatch (talk) 19:16, 5 September 2026 (UTC)

@Masterhatch: The US site is GNIS, but their domestic name search seems to be down today. It's almost never down, so it should be up soon. Cheers! Magnolia677 (talk) 19:31, 5 September 2026 (UTC)

Kingston tornado information

Hi Magnolia677. I'd like to clarify the tornado information that was removed from Kingston, Ontario.

The information I added was based on the Northern Tornadoes Project report:

The report identifies an EF0 tornado in Kingston, with estimated maximum winds of 115 km/h and a 10.9 km track.

There was also a tornado warning for the Kingston area that day. This report includes information and a photo from the warning:

Could you clarify what concerns you have with the information or the sources? I'm happy to discuss the wording, sourcing, or any other issues before making further changes, just, don't make me sad. Ghastling1934 (talk) 20:55, 13 September 2026 (UTC)

Reverting edits

Why are you reverting historically significant edits I made to the Portland, Oregon page? Your reason being it already has a page of its own? So do any number of other links. That is one point of Wikipedia. To create a dense linkage of topis. The city where one of the most famous ships in naval history was built having an extremely small mention and link is exactly one of the main points of Wikipedia and of value. ~2026-50556-90 (talk) 18:41, 20 September 2026 (UTC)

RE: Sodomy text you restored to WESTMORELAND COUNTY article

You restored the text I deleted, with the comment that I didn't explain my reason which is as follows: it seemed to me that the author had a prurient reason for highlighting that execution. It was a single instance and laws are now in place. Why drag a single instance out in the open when it's likely to offend people? Dear Magnolia677, I believe that you didn't check what you reverting (special:diff/1376151150). It was an addition of reliable source only. Without any other word. So I kindly as you to restore it back to the article Product of Society. Vasyatka1 (talk) 11:34, 22 September 2026 (UTC)

Your Harley Street edit

YOUR HARLEY STREET EDIT

Greetings Wikipedian! This concerns your deletion of the brief mention of Harley Street in "The Adventure of the Proper Comma." You cited Manual of Style ROS:POPCULT but with respect, I take a different opinion. ROS:POPCULT says that "these guidelines only outline how suitable a topic is for its own article or list. They do not limit the content of an article or list..." Holmes does in fact mention Harley Street in that story ("The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection", Doubleday & Co., Garden City NY, p. 1103). In my humble opinion, by that standard a brief mention of The Proper Comma needn't be deleted from the article. Cordially, BuzzWeiser196 (talk) 16:05, 23 September 2026 (UTC)

Please discuss on article talk page. Magnolia677 (talk) 17:41, 23 September 2026 (UTC)

DJ Danny D

Thank you for looking at DJ Danny D, and for the note. Your rationale was reasonable on what was there when you saw it.

I have removed the proposed deletion tag after finding a source I had missed: Exclaim! reported the 2010 Stylus DJ Awards on 2 June 2010 (byline Del F. Cowie) and names him as Club Dance DJ of the Year, alongside Drake and Boi-1da. It is now cited in the article with an archive link, and I have explained the removal on the talk page.

It is a single source rather than a body of coverage, so if you still think the article does not clear WP:BASIC I would rather you took it to AfD than have me edit-war over a tag. I will not remove a second one.

Also, belatedly, thank you for the note on Chiefswood yesterday. KnowledgeMaple (talk) 18:02, 25 September 2026 (UTC)

Hi Magnolia, the author of the article is now blocked for using an AI agent. See my note at User talk:asilvering#AI agent?. I left a comment on the AfD about the block but thought you might be interested in the background. S0091 (talk) 18:59, 30 September 2026 (UTC)

Building details

Hello @Magnolia677, I hope you are well. I added building details for the Belle Boyd house on Belle Boyd, however, it was my first time doing so and I want to know what I did right and wrong? Also if there is anything I need to fix. Thanks, have a good day, hasta luego! ~ Wobs100 (talk) 00:26, 1 October 2026 (UTC)

@Wobs100: Thanks for writing. Just a few things:
  • Numbers less than 10 should be written out (2...two).
  • Avoid words like "however" and contractions ("however these details aren't original"). See MOS:EDITORIAL.
  • Avoid linking common words like parking lot. See MOS:OL.
Hope this helps. Thanks for your hard work! Magnolia677 (talk) 11:08, 1 October 2026 (UTC)

changes to webster ny

All those dates were literally copied from the linked articles. Providing citations would grossly clutter the article and provide no new useful information. Peter Flass (talk) 14:04, 9 October 2026 (UTC)

@Peter Flass: I checked one of the unsourced dates you copied (just one), and it was unsourced on the article you copied it from too. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:10, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
Which one? I walked thru those one by one? Was it in the infobox and not the article or vice-versa? Peter Flass (talk) 17:02, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
@Peter Flass: See Brian Bliss, Joe Whelan (runner), Kara Lynn Joyce. --Magnolia677 (talk) 18:01, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
I must be missing something, because those dates are in the articles. I included only the year for simplicity:
  • “ Brian Boyer Bliss (born September 28, 1965)”
  • Joe Whelan (runner): date from infobox “{{Birth date and age|1990|11|13|mf=yes}”
  • “ Kara Lynn Joyce (born October 25, 1985)”

Not a big deal, though. I’ll just let it go. Peter Flass (talk) 19:17, 9 October 2026 (UTC)

@Peter Flass: Where are the sources to support these dates? Unsourced content from one article cannot be copied into another article. That's why I reverted it. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:10, 9 October 2026 (UTC)
Okay, as I said, I'll let it go. The original articles seem poorly sourced. For example Brian Bliss has an external link to which has his birthdate, but that's not cited as a reference. This was just a late-nite project anyway, so I don't want to go back and edit all the individual articles. Thanks. Peter Flass (talk) 22:25, 9 October 2026 (UTC)

Recent Edits - Kimball WV, Nutallburg WV

Thank you for keeping me in check. The technology sounding wording is likely due to my use of Grammarly, which I understand presents a bit of a robotic tone and I will take note of this in the future. Fortunately everything I have edited on Wikipedia is saved and cited in word documents so I am able to rework and fix my very sloppy citations. I am very new to this, and am always very excited to share my research on local West Virginia history, but being new also means "noob" activities. I appreciate you for keeping me in check and keeping Wikipedia a great place. I was very disappointed for being told I was using an AI service, however, I do understand how it comes off that way and I will work to do better. ItzJustPaul (talk) 16:39, 10 October 2026 (UTC)

@ItzJustPaul: It would be great if you could voluntarily revert any AI generated edit you made until you are able to write them in your own words, with sources that aren't wonky (the authors name isn't a P.O. box), using sources that support every single word of text you add. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 20:16, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
The citations in that issue were using Wikipedias automatic citations. Not an ai tool. ItzJustPaul (talk) 20:19, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
But I do thank you for the introduction to new editor tools, and I will be exploring other articles to develop my skills further. Appreciate you. ItzJustPaul (talk) 20:24, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
@ItzJustPaul: Friend, I'm not trying to be unwelcoming to you as a newish editor, but you added over 30,000 bytes of text, to nine different articles, in about one hour. I made my point. If you disagree that your edits weren't AI, then revert my edits. Easy Peezy. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:28, 10 October 2026 (UTC)

Recent edits - Climate of United States page and others re: Ingonish and Fort Myers

Hello. I do not want introductory language regarding the climate in the U.S. West (west of 100 W. . . ) and the humid continental and humid temperate climate zones removed. Why is it necessary to remove this language? You allowed the paragraph on the humid subtropical climate zone and Florida/US island territories to remain. A brief synopsis of climate zones in the continental (lower 48 states) US should include the entire lower 48, not just the southernmost states.

I don't see any justification for removing the language on the drier Western states and the humid continental and humid temperate climate zones. Slocuf (talk) 05:10, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

@Slocuf: I reverted it because it was just more of your original research. Your talk page is full of warnings. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:34, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

Mistaken as AI

Hello, I just saw a notification from you saying that my edit of the California Condor page was removed for being AI. I can assure you it was not AI- I wrote it entirely myself based on the two sources I cited. I'm vehemently against generative AI being used for any reason and am trying not to feel insulted that my writing was assumed to be AI. Could you please restore the edit, as it contains relatively recent information regarding condor breeding attempts in the northern part of their reintroduced range? Alpenglw (talk) 05:09, 18 October 2026 (UTC)

If it was the last bit that read as AI, I was specifically paraphrasing this part of the AllAboutBirds article I cited: "Hahn and Williams-Claussen anticipate that both condors may try to nest again next year, and they expect more condor nesting pairs to form in the next few years. Soon, they may see wild-hatched fledglings flying across Yurok skies, bearing the Yurok Tribe’s prayers." Alpenglw (talk) 05:12, 18 October 2026 (UTC)
@Alpenglw: Thanks for writing. Some text seemed painfully unnatural. Please feel free to revert. Thanks for your understanding. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:07, 18 October 2026 (UTC)

AI in Siberia.

Hello, I hope this message finds you well.

I recently got a note that claimed AI was used for citations in the Siberian article. I did not intend for any AI usage, I tried only using research papers and news articles. I was hoping you could inform me what source was flagged as AI, so that I can fix the source, and hopefully have my edits un-reverted.

Thank you, - FinnDalyyy (talk) 15:00, 20 October 2026 (UTC)

@FinnDalyyy: With this edit you wrote "On 29 October, 2012 Alexey Miller was order by Vladimir Putin to begin construction". To support your edit you cited this source. Perhaps I missed it, but where does it mention "Alexey Miller"? Magnolia677 (talk) 15:11, 20 October 2026 (UTC)
@Magnolia677, Yeah, I see the issue with this. There is not much information about this specific date that I can find with Alexey Miller involved. Would removing this part allow the rest of my edits to be readded?
Thank you, - FinnDalyyy (talk) 15:44, 20 October 2026 (UTC)
@FinnDalyyy: I checked two of your sources, and neither supported your edits. Please stop using AI to write Wikipedia articles. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:05, 20 October 2026 (UTC)

Carmel Valley, San Diego

Good evening! Thanks for keeping an eye on this. I live around the area and did the research for the edits myself. The HABS survey, North City West plan, Neighborhood 8C precise plan, and everything else are sources I've studied directly, alongside traveling to locations in person in order to verify. (See the lede photo, now in the geo section with an updated caption on where the picture was taken.) Google Gemini was used to proofread grammar and double-check that the citations match what was written. I'm happy to discuss any specific lines that look off, and to say that the claims and sourcing are mine and verifiable. For instance, on the Irvin Kahn line, the PQ plans document his ownership of the land and the subsequent approval of the road through it, so I attributed the road’s creation to him rather than citing a direct statement that he built it.

I have seen your name several times in cleanup of Garkeith's edits, and wanted to let you know that they have been blocked for LLM use (they promised to stop but unfortunately did not). There is a tracking page for their edits at WP:AI noticeboard/Garkeith. Since your interests seem to overlap strongly with theirs, I thought you might find this useful.
