On the page of WP:LEGAL, it says to report the user who has made the legal threat to WP:ANI rather than give them a warning. Unless our legal threat policy is updated, I see no need to have this warning template. Interstellarity (talk) 11:23, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

  • Keep, looks like a useful warning to me independent of whether the user needs to be reported to ANI. If a single user who has said "I will sue you if you don't include this" retracts that threat after the warning, doesn't that justify the existence of the template already? —Kusma (talk) 12:22, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
  • Keep Useful warning per Kusma. Hi there @Jonesey95. We keep on bumping into each other. I’m trying to remember why I thought this was a good idea. You probably know about the resonator on Wikidata. https://reasonator.toolforge.org/?q=Q132200769&lang=en. That’s the syntax to call the resonator, made by Magnus I was hoping to get the resonator working here on Wikipedia. But perhaps I was being too ambitious. Feel free to delete.
