Class-B article review for Kai Newkirk

Could a project member do a B-class assessment on Kai Newkirk? The article was previously deleted at PROD because I (the main contributor) was unresponsive for a few weeks. It has been substantially rebuilt this week to address the lack of "main character" energy in the sources, adding ~20 reliable sources, restructuring the activism sections by organizational vehicle, and pairing all advocacy-source claims with mainstream cites. I recently self-placed a C-class assessment on the article. Discussion and prior questions on the article are at Talk:Kai Newkirk. Tom Haws (talk) 23:01, 2 May 2026 (UTC)

Bump. I'm self-assessing as B. I would appreciate any correction. Tom Haws (talk) 01:53, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

COI edit request for Dr. Beatrice Wiafe-Addai

Hello WikiProject Biography editors,

I would like to request help reviewing and improving the article on [[Beatrice Wiafe Addai]].

COI disclosure: I have a close family relationship with Dr. Wiafe Addai, so I understand that I should not make substantive edits to the article directly. I am therefore asking uninvolved editors for guidance or assistance.

Dr. Wiafe Addai is a Ghanaian breast surgeon and cancer advocate whose work with Breast Care International and Peace and Love Hospitals has received coverage in sources such as Ghana News Agency, Daily Graphic, ecancer, Direct Relief, and peer-reviewed publications indexed in PubMed. The current article appears limited and has maintenance concerns, and I would appreciate help improving it in a neutral, well-sourced way.

I am happy to provide source links, background information, or draft wording on the article Talk page if that would be useful. My aim is simply to help ensure the article is accurate, neutral, and compliant with Wikipedia’s standards for biographies of living persons.

Thank you for your time and guidance. Erilidan (talk) 14:02, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Beatrice Wiafe Addai?
If it is, its needs a lot of wp:rs to establish notabilty. Slatersteven (talk) 14:07, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Yeah that's the one. I'm not sure who wrote it in the first place, but it's a complete mess right now. As far as sources go though, there are a number of reputable articles written about her. If you would be willing to help review it, I’d be happy to gather sources that meet your criteria. Just to clarify, her full name is in fact Dr. Beatrice Wiafe-Addai with the hyphen. Sorry if I caused any confusion with my lack of consistency there.
Also, I'm not sure what the "Not as well" at the start of the second reply was... Erilidan (talk) 14:26, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
At least one of the sources used there does not use that spelling of the name. Note as well that sources have to be about her, not just name her in connection with something else (read wp:n). Slatersteven (talk) 14:30, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Noted. How many sources would you need? Would these suffice:

Note as well. I am very dubious of a source who cannot even spell her name correctly. Slatersteven (talk) 14:10, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
Also, Addae is a common alternative spelling of her last name. There have been (particularly in the past) several issues with that. Feel free to disregard any such articles if that is indeed a disqualifying factor. Erilidan (talk) 14:59, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Spencer Pratt (he's running for mayor of Los Angeles)

The Spencer Pratt article is heating up. I've been trying to moderate the cherrypicked contentious comments--both liberal and conservative--and keep the article neutral, per WP:BLP, but this mayoral race is going viral. If other editors could keep an eye on the article and keep it NPOV it would be of benefit to readers. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 14:55, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Draft proposals for Saint Satine members (Lexie Levin, Samara Siqueira and Emily Kelavos)

Hi! Now that Draft:Saint Satine is in development, I think we have strong ground to create independent drafts for three of its members, as they have notable pre-debut activities that meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines for creative professionals. They are:

  • Emily Kelavos: Former competitive dancer named Teen Female Dancer of the Year (2021 Nationals), signed with Bloc LA talent agency, and performed at Coachella 2025 as a background dancer for XG. She also participated in Dream Academy.
  • Samara Siqueira: She participated in Dream Academy and starred in music videos for The Bootcampers.
  • Lexie Levin: Widely covered by media like Vogue HK due to her self-producing background and her viral withdrawal from Dream Academy to prioritize mental health.

If anyone is interested in co-creating or mentoring these drafts, I can help gather independent reliable sources from Teen Vogue, Vogue HK, and Grazia to back them up. Let me know your thoughts! Techgamer534 (talk) 10:39, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

COI Request Draft:Peter Michael Bauer - Oregonian - Rewilding Advocate

Hello, I have created a draft article on Peter Bauer, a Portland, Oregon-based environmental and primitive skills educator, rewilding advocate, and performer. Bauer is best known for his Urban Scout persona, through which he helped bring the rewilding movement to broader public attention in the United States during the 2000s. He is also the founder of the nonprofit Rewild Portland.

The draft draws on coverage from the Oregonian, Willamette Week, Portland Tribune, and Southeast Examiner, as well as several books and a 2026 peer-reviewed article in Hunter Gatherer Research (Liverpool University Press).

I am disclosing that I have a conflict of interest in creating this article, as a paid editor with a professional relationship with the subject. I have made every effort to write neutrally and in accordance with Wikipedia's guidelines, and welcome feedback of both the content and sourcing.

I would welcome feedback from editors familiar with Oregon subjects, environmental movements, biography articles, and primitive skills or anthropology topics before I submit to AfC.

The draft can be found at: Draft:Peter Michael Bauer

Drafts opened for Saint Satine members (Emily Kelavos, Lexie Levin, Samara Siqueira) - Collaboration welcome!

Hi community! Now that the master article for Draft:Saint Satine is underway, I have set up three independent biographical drafts for its members to document their extensive individual pre-debut careers:

The drafts have been structured properly with baseline infoboxes, inline references (from Vogue HK, Bandwagon Asia, IMDb, etc.), and clean draft categories. Please feel free to jump in and help expand their career histories, verify additional international media sources, polish the prose before they are submitted for mainspace review, or adding an image uploaded from Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for your collaborative help! Techgamer534 (talk) 10:44, 23 May 2026 (UTC)

No independent nobility, might be best as just Saint Satine. Slatersteven (talk) 10:47, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
@Slatersteven I have said that you can expand it with more information. Techgamer534 (talk) 10:48, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
That is the problem, there is none. It is even aghuanble that Saint Satine does not pass gng. Slatersteven (talk) 10:49, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
@Slatersteven I think there might be some information in some reliable sources, because they've had some notable activities before their debut. I'm just saying you should try. If not, we could wait, since the group is debuting around July, and more reliable sources might appear in the meantime or when the group makes its debut, which we could include in the drafts/articles. Techgamer534 (talk) 11:02, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
This is why I have not nominated them for deletion, as they are only drafts, but searching has produced nothing new. Slatersteven (talk) 09:20, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

Request for input on sourcing and notability

Hi all, I raised sourcing and notability concerns on the article talk page two weeks ago but have not received any feedback. I would appreciate additional input regarding source independence, due weight, and whether the article demonstrates significant coverage sufficient for WP:BIO. Discussion here: Talk:Ekkehard Knobelspies ~2026-34384-66 (talk) 06:17, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Possible to update a headshot?

I'm trying to update the headshot for the Danny Rimer article. I already posted on the talk page but haven't received a response. Did I not format the request correctly?

I hope editors will agree that the current headshot does not meet the standard of an encyclopedia profile. It honestly looks like a snapshot from MySpace. I uploaded a new, forward-facing one here.

Could somebody help me with this? Is there another noticeboard I should post at? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Kelsey at Index (talk) 10:34, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Request for independent assessment: Martin Dougiamas (currently a redirect)

I'm writing as the subject of this topic, with a declared conflict of interest (disclosed on my user page). I am not asking anyone to take my word for anything, and I won't be editing the article myself — I'm asking whether uninvolved editors think the available independent sourcing now supports a standalone biography, and if so, whether someone would be willing to assess it through WP:AFC.

Martin Dougiamas was converted to a redirect in 2020, when the article's sourcing was weak (largely self-published and primary). My understanding is that there was no formal AfD, so this is a question of whether a properly sourced article can now replace the redirect, not a deletion review.

What I think has changed is that there is now independent secondary coverage spanning a long period, rather than the thin sourcing of the old version. The most relevant items:

I've compiled a fuller source list, sorted into what I believe does and doesn't count toward notability (I've tried to be conservative and flag the weak items as weak). I'm happy to post it here or share it however is most useful.

I recognise the obvious counter-argument — that much of the coverage is connected to Moodle, raising a notability-inherited-from-the-product question. I'd genuinely value an uninvolved editor's honest view on whether the personal coverage and my separate role founding the Open EdTech Association are enough to clear that bar, or whether it's still premature. Either answer is helpful to me. Thank you. Dougiamas (talk) 11:47, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Request for assistance: Biography article for Lee Chesnut

Hello, I am reaching out to request assistance in drafting a Wikipedia article regarding my career in the music industry. As the subject of the article, I have a clear Conflict of Interest, and I am committed to following Wikipedia’s policies regarding neutrality and transparency. I have compiled a list of independent, reliable secondary sources that I believe satisfy the notability requirements for a music industry professional. I am not seeking to write this article myself, but rather to provide this research to an experienced editor who might be interested in verifying these sources and drafting a neutral, encyclopedic entry. Professional Milestones & Supporting Documentation: Radio Programming: Career highlights at WABB-FM, WAPW-FM, and WSTR-FM. Specifically, notable industry coverage exists regarding my role in breaking Chris Isaak’s "Wicked Game" (Reference: Wicked Game Wikipedia entry). Executive Production & Label Development: Early leadership roles at Republic Records, including Executive Producer credits for Lonnie Gordon ("Dirty Love") and A&R for Chumbawamba’s Tubthumper album. Industry Leadership: VP of Music Programming for VH1 (1994–1997) and VP of A&R at Epic Records, including the production of Donna Summer’s final Gold album, VH1 Presents: Live & More Encore. Contemporary Career: A&R Consultant for NBC’s The Voice (14 years). I have maintained a full disclosure of my background and potential COI on my user page, and I am happy to provide further primary links (Discogs, Billboard charts, etc.) if requested. My goal is simply to ensure that if a page is created, it is done so according to Wikipedia's standards for verifiability and neutral point of view. Are there any editors here who specialize in music industry biographies who might be willing to review this material? Thank you for your time and guidance.HSLB2001 (talk) 12:32, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

Do you have any reliable sources that discuss you? Slatersteven (talk) 12:35, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

Can you let me know if you'll be able to help me out here?
Thanks so much!

Hi Steven Slater. Are you interested in helping me create my page or do I need to look elsewherer?
Thanks,
Lee ChesnutHSLB2001 (talk) 10:18, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
OK, before I read through that lot, how many about him, and not something else he was attached to? Slatersteven (talk) 10:21, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
I believe all of those link are about his significant connection to each story.
Thank youHSLB2001 (talk) 11:45, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
Your first source only lists his name, which is not significant coverage. So which of these sources gives him more than just a name drop?Slatersteven (talk) 13:03, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
I believe all of the rest of the links give more than just a name drop.
ThanksHSLB2001 (talk) 13:20, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not an RS. Slatersteven (talk) 13:23, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
Also, how many of the othe sources are about him, not someone else, notability in not inherited, you are not famous for knowing someone who is famous. Slatersteven (talk) 13:30, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
But can't you be famous for making someone else famous? That's how Clive Davis became famous. See the entries I included on Chris Issak.

Has Chestnut won Grammy Awards or been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Slatersteven (talk) 13:40, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
No. But neither has Keith Naftaly, and he has a Wikipedia page.

OK so which major record label was Chestnut president of A&R for? Slatersteven (talk) 13:47, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
I am getting the feeling that you simply don't want to create this Wikipedia page. So if would like to bow out now, I'm fine with that.
ThanksHSLB2001 (talk) 13:49, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
No I am trying to tell you what we need, and why these people have pages and he does not. Each of the people has RS discussing them, not in connection with anything other than their promotion or appointment to a leading position or award. That is what we need for Mr Chestnut, something that shows that he is (and in his own right) notable. 13:53, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

Requested edit to Earl MacDonald article

Hello—I've submitted a requested edit on the Talk page of Earl MacDonald, proposing a revised version of the article based on independent sources. As this relates to a biography, I wanted to invite any interested editors to take a look. For ease of review, the proposed version is a complete rewrite with inline citations and neutral tone, intended to replace the current article. Thank you for your time. Earlmacdon (talk) 01:01, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

Thank you so much for your help! I'm not a tech-savvy person in the the least, so this assistance means the world to me and I'm very grateful.
Sincerely,

Request for article: Charlie Taylor (HM Chief Inspector of Prisons)

Charlie Taylor, the current HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, appears not to have a biography article despite all previous holders of the office having one. He has also served as Chair of the Youth Justice Board and authored the Taylor Review of the youth justice system. There appears to be substantial independent coverage in national newspapers and other reliable sources. Would anyone be interested in assessing whether he meets the notability guideline and creating an article? KitTaylor36963 (talk) 14:41, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
